I gave you the ...Chris do you not know how to read? I gave you the official statistics used by the government, economists and everyone but people like you and Sarah Palin.

The 2010 CPI average for Food in the United States was 1.5%. That is what food prices rose overall last year.

and chris food and energy are included in Historical Cpi but not Core cpi and i gave you the historical CPI not the core CPI the feds use.

nice try but again i am right and your wrong. Or just look at the futures for coton,corn,coffee,wheat,soy...that tells us what our future prices will be Joe. I know it must be hard for you to understand since you don't shop. Because if you did shop you'd know what is happening to food prices. Joe food prices and energy prices aren't counted in the inflation index. I've told you that before buyt you chose to be ignorant about it. Have you seen what is happening to oil prices? You do know how oil prices effect everything we buy? Joe if you were ever right about anything other then the occasional thing it would be amazing. Good luck being right again Joe you'll need it.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12905362327313044045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7705675907060089073.post-62251169895277144022011-02-16T23:14:58.698-05:002011-02-16T23:14:58.698-05:00Chris is that even a coherent discussion?
Did yo...Chris is that even a coherent discussion?

Did you intended to make a case for the possibility of increasing food prices in America or not? If so then where is the evidence? All i see is some points about world issues and then attacks on the "lefties" instead of anything specific.

I'd be interested to see you make a case for it, but i guess that would require more than ideological attacks and anecdotal evidence. Shoot it might take you 30 whole minutes to find that the CPI for food 2010 was a whole 1.5% and that the overall inflationary rate is foretasted not to clear 3% and average a little lower than that for the year.

you might also find this in the same article, "Industrialized nations like the United States are insulated from the price increases because raw ingredients account for just a fraction of the total food costs."

And if you looked for a few minutes more you'd find that it is not inflationary pressures driving up the costs of Food, but a limited supply. Speaking of being wrong, did you forget that recent thread about the CBO report where you drank the Blaze Kool-aid only to get thumped by the actual report?

Your like the auto industry of the late 70's where the quantity of the cars was way more important than the quality. Just like your blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
