Interesting Facts About Our Old Health Care: Open Thread

Information for your review.
A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided very
interesting statistics from a survey by the United Nations
International Health Organization
.
Percentage of men and women who survived a cancer five years
after diagnosis:

U.S.               65%

  England         46%

  Canada          42%

Percentage of patients diagnosed with diabetes who received
treatment within six months:

  U.S.               93%

  England         15%

  Canada          43%

Percentage of seniors needing hip replacement who received it
within six months:

  U.S.               90%

  England         15%

  Canada
         43%

Percentage referred to a medical specialist who see one within
one month:

U.S.               77%

  England         40%

  Canada          43%

Number of MRI scanners (a prime diagnostic tool) per million people:

  U.S.               71

  England         14

  Canada          18

Percentage of seniors (65+), with low income, who say they are in
"excellent health":

  U.S.               12%

  England         2%

  Canada
         6%

I don't know about you, but I don't want "Universal Healthcare"
comparable to England or Canada .

Moreover, it was Sen. Harry Reid who said, "Elderly Americans
must learn to accept the inconveniences of old age."

SHIP HIM TO CANADA OR ENGLAND !

He is "elderly" himself but be sure to remember his health
insurance is different from yours as Congress has their own high-
end coverage!  He will never have to learn to accept
"inconveniences"!!!
AND THE WINNER IS VERY INTERESTING!
The percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked in
the private business sector prior to their appointment to the
cabinet.  You know what the private business sector is... a real
life business, not a government job.  Here are the percentages.

T. Roosevelt........  38%

Taft.....................40%

Wilson ................52%

Harding..................49%

Coolidge..............  48%

Hoover................. 42%

F. Roosevelt.........  50%

Truman..................50%

Eisenhower........... 57%

Kennedy..............  30%

Johnson.................47%

Nixon..................  53%

Ford..................... 42%

Carter..................  32%

Reagan...................56%

GH Bush................. 51%
  Clinton    ................. 39%

GW Bush................ 55%
And the winner of the Chicken Dinner is:

 Obama................ 8%  !!!
This alone can explain the incompetence of this administration....! ! ! !! 8 %

Yep!  That's right!  Only Eight Percent!!!.. the least by far of
the last 19 presidents!!  And these people are trying to tell our
big corporations how to run their business?  They know what's
best for GM...Chrysler... Wall Street... and you and me?

How can the president of a major nation and society...the one
with the most successful economic system in world history...
stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?..
or about jobs when he has never really had one??!  And neither
has 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers!  They've spent
most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit
jobs....or as "community organizers" when they should have been
in an employment line.
Just in case you have not seen these interesting statistics:
You may want to pass this on,
we will NEVER see it in the
                main street media!!!

  5. If nobama finds one more private sector experianced adviser is average will be about the same as the Umemployment figure last year!

  6. It's timeless but the Democratic Party has met their time.

  7. All you conservatives can't stand that Obama and the Democrats finally found their groove in the lame duck session.

    DADT passed

    START passed

9/11 first responders health bill passed.

    Food Safety bill passed

Much to my chagrin, they passed the Tax cut extension for millionaires and billionaires.

The only place Obama and Democrats fell short was on the Dream Act.

The stock market has recovered to pre-collapse levels and on some days surpasses it.

Sorry, Chris, even with Republican obstructions, the Democrats got a lot of good things for the country done.

You might want to check out these ranking on health care from the World Health Organization.

  8. Bruce The Demoncrats did not find their groove. Tea Party showed them where it was,you know that Mid Term Thingy.

Odd how Demoncrats could get through things during lame duck they did not have the COURAGE to pass prior to Mid Terms.

Im not happy with Republicans right now BUT new session of Congress, you for sure aint going to be happy!

  9. You're right, I won't be happy when the Republican obstructionists take over the House.

But I have confidence the country will have buyer's regret once Republicans start governing, and actually have to be responsible for moving the country forward. Teapublicans' policies will not exactly be the majority of the country's cup of tea, if you know what I mean.

  10. Bruce Once again Citizens made a Choice. Tea or Kool Ade? Kool Ade has proven to be not only undependable but to costly in not only tax payers dollars but Freedom.

Tea Party is for Patriots, Demoncrats we can NO longer Afford. Time will tell Bruce,it will take more than one election cycle to correct all the wrongs but WE have started and I cannot wait for 2012. Keep your Kool Ade Handy you might want to use it as a chaser after Liberal Power POOF! Now for a cup of TEA.

  11. So chris, a recent article posted on rightwing site 12 months ago is timeless, but its not recent right?

Notice that you can't provide the link which doesn't make it timeless it makes it suspect and quite possible another hoax you posted.

I'm looking forward to the link...

  12. Bruce, brilliant. Here we have chris posting what is most likely a hoax HE GOT EMAILED and your off in who the f knows land talking about everything else under the sun but that.

That is why i don't go to liberal sites...too many can't stya in one groove. at least here thats their lie...er story anbd their sticking to it.

  13. Joe if theres a newer posting availiable that would be Great but if this is the last/best than so be it! I beleive that the numbers have not changed to the point of calling the post a hoax. Why not through your efforts find newer post that shows this issue to be false. Seems fair to me? How bout you?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Joe if it was a hoax like you are trying to portray it as you would have posted otherwise. Nice try Joe trying to discredit it Joe. Bruce, the left have already started bl;aming the Republicans and they aren't even in office yet. Since this Democratic Congress is at all time low approval rating of single digets it will be hard for the Republicans to do much worse then under 10% approval.

  15. lol...its bullshit and you guys know it....

Here's the comments from that rightwing blog in 2009...

United Nations International Health Organization Survey.
Update. I’m leaving this up and offering an apology. I received this from a trusted source and ran with it, without checking it’s origin. I’m unable to find the original source of the survey so please disregard.

Note: This doesn’t take away from my opinion on just how bad Obama Care....

Thats why Chris won't provide a link to where he got it, because their is none. Couldn't be found then and not now either. This is an email or RedState style redux of bogus info.

  16. You can try googling it and all you get is posts on other rightwing sites. Hell, i tried looking up UN international health and nothing. Not a website for that. instead it directs you to WHO.

Sure sign that you've been duped is when the organization your quoting statistics from isn't even real.

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Please keep it clean and nice. Thank you for taking the time to post you thought. It means a lot to me that you do this.
