Students Pray to Allah on Mosque Field Trip

Wellesley’s school superintendent apologized today for allowing middle school students to participate in a prayer service during a field trip to a Roxbury mosque last spring.The apology to parents came after a group that has been critical of the Islamic Society of Boston Community Center — New England’s largest mosque and Muslim cultural center — released a 10-minute long video featuring footage of Wellesley students bowing their heads during a prayer service.The group, Americans for Peace and Tolerance, received the footage from a mother of one of the students, its director, Dennis Hale, said today. The woman, whom they will not identify, went on the May 27 trip as a chaperone for her son’s sixth grade class, he said.Wellesley School Superintendent Bella Wong said that allowing the children to participate in the prayer service was ‘‘a mistake,’’ and apologized to parents in a letter.

Five middle schoolers participated in the Muslim midday prayer at the mosque, she said. Some can be seen in the video imitating some of the prayer movements.
I don't care to what god you pray to or what religion you are. The school does not have the right to make students pray. I don't care if the students visit a mosque or learn about different religions in public schools. But to worship is another thing all together. I ask why is it OK to make children pray to Allah at a Mosque for a school event? Why is the left so excepting of this? Will we see the ACLU get involved in this? Or does the ACLU only remove Christian Prayer while adding prayer rugs in public schools? Is this the 'social justice' the left have been talking about?

This video is Al Jazeera coverage of the church dispute by Muslims: We are seeing a lot more of this kind of treatment by Muslims. It's not just Christians and Jews that are being persecuted by Islam. It seems that the common denominator with all these disputes is Islam.

Obama Omits ‘Creator’ While Quoting Declaration

Two days before the country was set to celebrate Constitution Day, President Obama decided to invoke the words of another founding document: the Declaration of Independence. Except he changed the words.
Towards the end of a speech on September 15 to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Obama began quoting the famous “rights” line from the founding document. But partway through, he omitted where those rights come from: a Creator.The line is supposed to read: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”But Obama’s recitation left out an important part: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are crated equal. [Long Pause] Endowed with certain inalienable [sic] rights: life and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”As the American Thinker points out, it could well be that Obama intentionally ignored his teleprompter:
After President Obama says “created equal..”, there is a long pause during which he scowls and blinks several times. For once, he may actually have opted to not read something that was on the teleprompter. It looks like he is disgusted and decided it would be better not to read what the [Declaration] actually says.
So, did he just forget the words, maybe couldn’t see the lines, or did he leave them out intentionally? What do you think? It's no wonder why most Americans don't know what religion Obama is.
