BREAKING: We Have Elena Kagan’s College Thesis

This proves Elena Kagan is an open and avowed socialist. The woman declares that socialists must stick together instead of fracture in order to advance a socialist agenda, which Kagan advocates. 1
You can see for yourself right here (PDF).
Keep in mind that Kagan wrote her thesis at the height of the cold war praising a group that collaborated with our enemies. How many socialist is Obama friends with? Can we now say that he is a socialist? Or are you on the left still in denial about this plan as day reality?

  1. I’m getting blowback on this statement. When you couple Kagan’s thesis with her op-eds in the 80’s and her later work, I think it is a complete and fair statement. Look at the forest, not the trees.

  2. The entire confirmation process is a farce. Every nominee since I was old enough to be paying attention to the news (and I’m in my 40s) has played a little charade of not having any opinions about anything. The hearings really serve no purpose any more.

All that said, the liberal bloggers are going ape over this nomination as they would with any one nominated by Obama.. This is going to be an issue during the confirmation process

Tribalism is the road to ruin.

  3. Does anyone know anything about why Obama didn't let the free press interview Ms Kagan? I hear they have made their own state run media. And does anyone know what the White House is doing about the oil spill? I think BP could use some help with this oil spill and it doesn't look like they are getting any from Obama or the environmentalist. I see a lot of bitching but no doing. Right Is Right is right.

  5. Papers like this (remember Hillary's? and other nominees? They all read the same, full of Marxist garbage.) Papers like this show that students must regurgitate lefty propaganda to please the leftwing aging hippie professors.

I wouldn't let any of my kids go to an Ivy League school even if they got a full scholarship.

It turns out that Kagan’s résumé is so threadbare that Team Obama is floating a myriad of pathetic talking points to pad its candidate’s “qualifications.”

    See for yourself.

    1. The baller. Not only are we told that she’s “ambitious, restless, [and] intellectually acute,” but, as Politico noted, she “even shares the president’s love of a good, grinding pick-up basketball game.” Say what? She enjoys a “grinding pick-up basketball game”? Well now, that settles it then. Bust out the basketball trunks, throw on a jersey, and move yourself straight to the front of the line for a lifetime position on the most powerful court in the world! What could go wrong? As an aside, can you even imagine Kagan “grinding” on the court?

    2. She’s one of us. From the mouth of Barack, a Kagan confirmation would be “more reflective of us as a people than ever before.” And if by “reflective,” the president means that most Americans go from Princeton to Oxford to Harvard to the University of Chicago… then back to Harvard, well yes, Kagan’s mug should replace Lincoln’s on the $5 bill because she’s so “reflective” of America.

    3. Feminine products. At Harvard, Kagan gained popularity by offering “free coffee outside classrooms and free tampons in the women’s restrooms.” Surely, these were exactly the type of qualities Thomas Jefferson sought when picking a justice.

    4. The tokens. Kagan herself tells us that she strove to “bring people together,” specifically by hiring conservative professors. Obama touts this as “openness to a broad array of viewpoints.” Um, so let’s get this one straight. As the dean of one of the nation’s most prominent law schools, she took steps to introduce her students to different opinions and thus fulfill the mission of a university? The left is asking us to pat her on the back for doing her job? Okay, fine. Let’s buy her a meat-lovers pizza and call it even. Besides, out of the 43 hires she authorized, only 3 were conservative. Big deal.

    5. Born in the U.S.A. “Elena is the granddaughter of immigrants,” Obama boasted of his pick, which is to say that Kagan’s parents’ parents immigrated to this country. And that makes her special again how?

    6. Triple Axel. Kagan, we’re told, improved “student life” at Harvard with a “revamped student center, an upgraded gym and an ice-skating rink” that also “doubled as a volleyball court.” Did I miss the memo, or is the Supreme Court now the new training grounds for the 2012 Olympics?

    7. Justice Pavarotti. Pete Williams of NBC News recently affirmed Kagan as an “accomplished poker player [and] opera lover,” which, as we know, are grounds for a swift confirmation, no?

    8. Toilet preference. Obama describes Kagan as a “trailblazing leader” for being the first female solicitor general and the first female dean of Harvard’s law school, as if we’re supposed to judge her fidelity to the Constitution because she happens to sit and not stand while urinating.

    9. Good news: Kagan ain’t deaf. Television legal analyst Lis Wiehl gushed that the Supreme Court nominee ran Harvard Law with “grace” and is an “avid listener.”

    10. Kagan actually “welcomed the military to campus.” So says White House shill Valerie Jarrett, even though Kagan authored a memo bragging that she “reinstated” the school’s ban on the military in the Spring of 2005, but reluctantly lifted the ban in the Fall of that same year, after the Department of Defense threatened to “withhold all possible funds if the Law School continued to bar the military” from Harvard.

  8. I think iOTW can add to this absurd resume with some of our own:

    - She can tie a sheep-shank knot out of an entire twizzler in her mouth
    - Her neighbors describe her as quiet and a really nice guy that keeps to himself
    - She can catch a cannon ball in her gut
    - The drapes match the carpet – mousy and balding
    - She’s not an angry drunk
    - Never gave birth to a conjoined twin
    - Courtesy flushes
    - Small Carbon Footprint – Assprint is another matter
    - Looks best in a judge’s robe
    - Isn’t Bush

  9. I love how the White House asks her about her sexuality, and then makes a big deal about a picture of her playing softball!! ROFLMAO, these guys couldn't get more hypocritical if they tried!! BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/05/13/AR2010051305305.html

The White House declared publicly, even before President Obama nominated Elena Kagan, that she is not a lesbian.

"False charges," White House spokesman Ben LaBolt said after a conservative blogger wrote last month on a CBS News Web site that Kagan would be the "first openly gay justice." LaBolt's description of the rumor as "charges" was itself awkward, coming from a pro-gay-rights Democratic administration. His statement almost begged for a Seinfeld-esque not-that-there's-anything-wrong-with-that qualifier.

Why the White House chose to engage on this question at all is telling of the currency and the potency of the innuendo. In an age when the Internet sometimes ignites the burners of the mainstream media, "a rumor unaddressed becomes fact," said Anita Dunn, a former White House communications director who has reenlisted to advise on the Kagan nomination.

Administration officials asked Kagan directly about her sexual orientation when she was being vetted for her post as solicitor general, Dunn said in response to a question that she protested was inappropriate. But she insisted that it was not a relevant factor in determining who was named to that job or this one. "When there's a gay nominee, there's a gay nominee, which will be a good thing, if they're qualified and should be on the court," Dunn said.

  10. US Attorney General Eric Holder profiles a whole state. What a hypocritical jerk.

    http://hotair.com/archives/2010/05/14/say-isnt-holder-profiling-arizonans/

    Say, isn’t Holder profiling Arizonans?
    Share
    BY ED MORRISSEY

Let’s see. Reaching conclusions based on a “glance”? Check. Relying on hearsay and rumor about a people instead of using independent thought? Check. Putting law-enforcement resources into attacking something based solely on appearances? Check. By golly, I think Andy McCarthy may be on to something here:

He hasn’t read the Arizona immigration law, even though reading the law is the basic duty of any lawyer (let alone the U.S. Attorney General) who is called on to assess a legal situation.

Thus, he hasn’t got reasonable suspicion that Arizonans are violating the Constitution, even though reasonable suspicion is the basic investigative standard we expect law-enforcement to satisfy before officials harass Americans with stepped up scrutiny. …

If a police officer, without taking elementary investigative steps to inform himself about the facts of a situation, and thus without reasonable suspicion, simply assumed a person must be guilty of wrongdoing based on the police officer’s avowed prejudice, what would Eric Holder call it?

Holder certainly wouldn’t call it responsible law-enforcement. The irony is, of course, that the Arizona law doesn’t allow for profiling, and its most recent amendment removes any remaining ambiguity about when police can investigate residency status, which is when they have probable cause to hold someone on another issue. Holder’s knee-jerk reaction says plenty about bigotry, but not about people in Arizona.

Allahpundit posted a link to the lengthy C-SPAN video in which Holder admitted that he had only “glanced” at the bill, but our friend Greg Hengler clips the answer as part of a “two faces of Eric Holder” montage from Townhall. One of the Congressman on the panel makes the point that the Arizona bill is only ten pages long, or less than 1/200th the size of ObamaCare. How long would it have taken Holder to read it before shooting his mouth off about it?

  11. Holder Would Make a Great Czar! He Would Not Need To Answer To ANYBODY! Never Mind Hes Already At That Point! He Just Could Not Utter The Words " Radical Islam" To Explain OUR Enemys Thought Process, Might Have Upset Them and With Appeasement Dont Want To Make Those Rascals Mad They Might Try To Attack Us Again,OH Never Mind They Have Been There Done That. I Thin Regime Calls It a Attempted "Man Made Disasters"!

It Is Amazing How Those Immigration Laws Can Be Enforced By Government and Then Arizona Is Attacked For Same Law By Government!

Libs Once Again Hows That Job Lasering Coming Along?

Don’t fret, governor’s (Deval, D-MA) on the case, By Howie Carr

The question at the press conference at the State House yesterday was, Why do these illegal types keep gravitating to MA?

The AG, “Marsha” Coakley, was a no-show, but she’d already answered the question a few weeks ago on Worcester radio station WCRN.

Marsha, why are so many of these illegal aliens invading Massachusetts?

“Technically,” she replied, “it is not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts.”

That’s one of the people Deval said had been briefing him on the “probe.” Whew - good to know, we have people who are serious about this problem. Back to Deval at the press conference.

“Two people in Massachusetts are in federal custody.”

But the bigger problem was, he wouldn’t say what they were charged with: immigration violations. See, the governor doesn’t like to talk about illegal aliens, especially when they’re committing crimes, as opposed to just being illegal, which Marsha Coakley says is not illegal.

Deval has been “fully briefed” on the probe, or so he said, so he must have known that the feds were tracking illegal aliens. Or maybe no one dared tell him that they were on the trail of some of the people he wants to give in-state tuition to.

Arrested in Watertown - will the Boston City Council vote to boycott Watertown next? The second suspect was lugged at the Double Tree in Allston - that’s Boston. Does this mean the City Council will now have to bocyott itself?

Deval was playing the most unlikely role of his career, assuring everyone that he was on top of what might be a terrorist probe, although of course he would never use the “T” word.

“That may be a step too far for the moment.”

Everyone remain calm! Inspector Deval is on the case.

“Police have stepped up their surveillance.”

But .. but ... that sounds so Arizona. What’s a moonbat to do?

“We remind everyone to be vigilant, report suspicious activities to the police.”

Somewhere, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is smiling.

On Tuesday, Deval said he was concerned that Mexicans are the focus of the illegal-alien debate - “and that worries me.”

No longer a problem - or should I say problemo? One of the illegals arrested yesterday had even been ordered out of the country. But he refused to leave MA, and you ask, why should he have? As Marsha Coakley put it: Technically, it’s not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts.

  13. Why would Holder and Obama talk about something they know nothing about? That doesn't make any sense. I think the whole Democratic party is lost and clueless.
