Where Is The Obama Spending Crisis Plan?

ED HENRY, FOX NEWS CHIEF WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: …If you basically have this Boehner plan that you say can’t get through the Senate and you've got a Reid plan that the Republicans don’t think you can get through the Senate or the House and you’re saying we want a compromise, what was the point of giving a prime-time address to the nation without an Obama plan and say neither of these other plans can work? Where's his plan?

(CROSSTALK)

JAY CARNEY, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: I understand the idea that there is not an Obama plan is like point…

HENRY: But there’s not one on paper.

CARNEY: …point No. 1 on the talking points issued by the Republican Party. I get it.

(CROSSTALK)

HENRY: No, no, no. That’s not a talking point. Show us the plan. It’s not a talking point. That’s unfair. Where’s the plan?

CROSSTALK)

CARNEY: First of all, the president put forward in detail his principles at George Washington University…

(CROSSTALK)

HENRY: Principles. Right. That’s not a plan.

CARNEY: …quite a lot of detail. The president stood before you, I can’t remember if you were here Friday night, some of you  weren’t because you cut out early, but a lot of you were (GROANS FROM THE PRESS) and he put forward in detail with numbers what he’s willing to do. He then referred from the podium to the fact that White House officials would be briefing in detail.

Has the media begun to notice the wheels coming off at the White House? First, Politico notices that Obama still hasn’t offered any solutions despite the late hour of the fiscal crisis at hand. Last night, CNN’s Gloria Borger noticed that Obama seems out of the loop on the actual proposals floating around the Beltway, too. Obama tried to pump up support for tax increases, which makes him a chorus of … one:
Obama is the president now, not a community organizer. The president should have a plan that is written down. But instead he just keeps tearing apart Congresses plans.

Obama has done nothing but obstructed Congress from fixing the spending problem in Washington and Americans know it. I can't believe that the president took nothing to the American people but hot air and divisive rhetoric. But that is all he has is talk and talk is cheap. For some reason Obama thought that he could take nothing to the people but talk and expect them to rally behind him. It turns out that the American people did call Congress, but not in support of the Obama non-plan. The American public have been calling Congress to tell them to "stop spending" their money.

Polls are coming out that show that Obama has been losing his Democratic base in droves thanks to his lack of leadership and methods. Liberals know that Obama is screwing everything up. That is why they are trying to divert attention away from the President's buffoonery.

When it comes down to it the simpletons will always follow Obama no matter what he does. They will take the hook and jump in the boat. Those same simpletons will bark when Obama and his left-wing minion tell them to bark. But the fact is most Americans aren't buying his empty words and divisive rhetoric. Once the val has been lifted from the eyes of his ex-supporters he will never get them back. We have all seen salespeople that over sell and under deliver. You may like the salesperson and might even excuse them for a while. But at some point and time they better deliver what they promised and they better have a product to sell. The fact that this buffoon of a president took nothing to the people and ask them to buy nothing in exchange for a blank check is just ridiculous. He may think the American people are that dumb or that he is that charismatic but I know the American people aren't that dumb. And I know that the American people know how to spend their money better then these shlubs in Washington.

People were pissed at Bush for all his spending. Obama has taken mindless spending to new highs and the American people are done with that. STOP SPENDING OUR MONEY! Being president isn't hitting the lottory. Washington has put us into deeper debt and Obama wants to add another $10 Trillion dollars to that debt over the next 10 years. That is just crazy. Greece is failing and the Democratic Party wants to put us on the exact same track. Unless their idea of a good outcome is the destruction of America and our way of life then they are doing a fine job of it. Call Congress and tell them to stop spending now!

  2. I just got through watching both Obama's and John Boehner's speeches. Again, I feel like vomiting over the whole foolish mess. With Obama's ridiculous lies about Social Security and Boehner's foolish entertainment of Democrat's disingenuous compromises, I am rapidly losing hope that America will dodge this bullet.

Of the two speeches, Obama's was clearly the worse. Obama's speech could have easily been spliced together from his past speeches over the last two years. It was the same old dog and pony show we have seen over and over again.

Class warfare, complete with evil corporate jets - check.
One sided shared sacrifice - check.
    Blame Bush - check.
and the list goes on and on.

No where in Obama's 15 minute speech did Obama offer a clear cut path plan of action. Instead, it was the usual dump it all in Congress' lap and then take to the podium to play the role of college professor. Of course in doing so, Obama made his usual massive contradictions. Like this gem:
[...]In the past, raising the debt ceiling was routine. Since the 1950s, Congress has always passed it, and every President has signed it. President Reagan did it 18 times. George W. Bush did it seven times. And we have to do it by next Tuesday, August 2nd, or else we won’t be able to pay all of our bills.

[...] But the new approach that Speaker Boehner unveiled today, which would temporarily extend the debt ceiling in exchange for spending cuts, would force us to once again face the threat of default just six months from now. In other words, it doesn’t solve the problem.
So, Reagan had to deal with 18 extensions of the debt ceiling over 8 year, which breaks down to less than 6 months intervals and the economy thrived under those conditions. However, a six month extension today would be catastrophe? This is why Obama is so disingenuous and phony.

Boehner is once again talking the talk but failing to walk the walk. Boehner would not be in the pressure cooker had he declared way back in November that the debt ceiling was not going to be raised. Had he taken that stance eight months ago, he would have had eight months to defuse all the liberal arguments, scare tactics and power plays. He would have been in the position of demanding Democrats start coming up with their cuts to go along with the Republican cuts. The markets would have known months ago that America was not raising its debt ceiling and that it was going to use the next eight months to seriously tackle the problem, rather than try to mash something together in less than a month.

The CBO's scoring of Boehner's plan clearly shows that Boehner is more concern about the political aspects of the debate than actually forcing real change. Pity for all of us.

  3. President Barack Obama's approval rating is down to 38 percent, driven in part by growing dissatisfaction on the left with the president's track record in office, according to a new national survey.

President Barack Obama has had the largest decrease in approval rating of any president. Liberals are blamming President Barack Obama's black half for all the mistakes he's made. Liberal Blogs and Tweeters are on fire with this "white half/black half" blame game. The white liberals are saying they "voted for the white half but got the black half", at the same time black liberals say they voted for the "black man but got the white man instead". This is the sickness of racism in the Democratic Party.

  7. We must remember that Republicans only control 1/2 of 1/3 of our government. If we want more change then we need to win the Senate and the WH. Instead of letting the President put all the focus on the Congress and letting them take all the heat, Congress needs to pass the Cut, cap and ballance bill and let the heat fall on the Senate and WH. I think today Congress will tighten up the Boehner bipartisan bill and pass it. This will put all the focus on the Senate and WH. If the Senate passes the bill and WH the left wing will bail on Obama in mass.

Without Obama's base in full support of him he will lose the WH in 2012. "Get out the vote" will turn into stay home and do nothing come Nov.

Without full control the Republicans can't do what the Tea Party wants in just one move. It will take baby steps, but it will get done.

Obama and the Democrats have spent us into this Debt Crisis since Congress was controled by the Democratic Party since 2006. The Democrats have controled the purse strings of our nation and must be held responsible for it. It will all come to a head in the end. The MSM wants to focus on the Republican infighting but they have left out the fact that the Democrats are not only infighting as well but they are also in their death roll. The American public knows who drove us over this debt cliff and when interest rates go up because of our debt they will blame Obama and the Democratic Party just like they blamed Carter.

And when the youth of this country that have supported Obama and the Democratic Party realize that they have been used by them and stuck with the debt and no or little social security in the end they will bail as well.

Where do you get the idea that i want the stock market to tank? Your understanding of anarchy as a governmental system is clouded by visions of punk rock and other bullshit.
