Liar!!! Abortion Is In The 1,990 pg Healthcare Bill

A national pro-life group is warning members of Congress that a vote in favor of the 1,990-page House healthcare bill is a vote to establish a federal government program that would directly fund abortion-on-demand with taxpayer dollars.

Abortion funding in healthcare imagePage 110 of H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, authorizes a new government health insurance program to pay for all elective abortions.  Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee, explains.

"This is a federal agency, a federal program, [and] of course it's going to spend federal funds -- that's the only kind of funds it's got," he notes. "So all of these assurances that some prominent Democrats, including President Obama, have given that there won't be federal funding for abortions, that's not what's in the bill."

Johnson warns that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) wants to ram the bill through without representatives having a chance to vote on a single amendment.  However, in order to use that "closed rule" procedure, a majority of House members have to agree to the move.  The pro-life spokesman is urging members to vote "no" on a closed rule.

Douglas Johnson (NRLC)"We want to vote on an amendment that would take abortion out of this bill, which is the [Bart] Stupak amendment," Johnson clarifies, referring to the Michigan Democrat.  "We believe if we could get a vote in the full House on that amendment, it would pass."

Congressman Stupak has vowed that if he does not get a vote on his amendment barring federal funding of abortion, he and 40 pro-life Democrats will block a full House vote on the healthcare bill.

Why do Democratic leaders continue to insist abortion funding
isn't in their healthcare reform bills?

  1. Why? Because they know MOST Americans are AGAINST it,and that is even leaving out the pro-life/pro-choice core debate.

Let me clarify, when I say "against" I am referring to OUR tax dollars funding abortions like the 'Mexico City Policy', which Obama reinstated by executive order which funds abortions in FORIEGN COUNTRIES.

Also if implemented, people in the medical field who object to the barbaric practice of baby-murder and refuse to be an accessory to the crime against humanity and God can be reprimanded if not lose their job outright.

So you see, there are many reasons for Pelosi and her friends to disguise/deny it is in the bill.

In essence, now there will be (2) federally-funded DEATH PANELS controlling population; (1)for what would have been the start of Life and (1)for a premature end to Life.

    What happened to a kinder,genteler Nation ?

  2. Great points being made Christopher. I know a lot of doctors and Med. students that will get out of the business. All those Roman Catholic Hosp. will lose their federal funding if the refuse to do them. Why do the Democrats want to pay for abortions so bad? Obama with the help of Congress and Satan are fundamentally changing our country into an evil country that will inrage Muslims even more.

  3. AND there is no government law or program that keeps within its' original scope. Abortion is the tip of the iceberg, next will be assisted suicide. It is just a matter of time.

Kudos to Mr. Stupak and the rest of the pro-life Dems. I know vomamike will be seething about that, that there are pro-life Dems who actually stand for something!

Hey Chris, I believe I alluded to that question in my 1st post,,,,,"controlling population"

  5. You did Christopher. Do you know what population they tend to controll? Who gets most of the abortions? Where are most of the abortion clinics? I knew a girl that had an abortion when she was younger. And now that she is older and wiser she feels she is a murderer. How would you like to carry that cross around your whole life? Thank God He forgives her for it.

  7. 1900 pages to cover BILL.Most of this Bill is pure LAWYER talk written by just a few people to cover 300 million people. There will be sections of this BILL that will have so called trigger clause that when things get to a point MORE government CONTROL will take place. Dont have to read BILL to know that when LAWYERS/POLITICANS say its good for us ,BUT, oddly enough NOT good enough for them that this BILL is ripe for FRAUD and CORRUPTION!

  8. Mike how would an abortion change or help the fact that there was a rape or incest? Two wrongs never make a right. I would be concerned that the person one day may realize what they did to the innosent baby inside them. Maybe giving up that child for adoption might give the rape/incest victume some relief that some good did come out of this most horribile deeds. I don't know if it would or not but I have no idea how killing the baby makes things better for the victume. I'd love to know a womens perspective on this as well. Thank you for your input on this subject. We need many perspectives so we have reason for our beliefs on such matters.

  9. On the ISSUE of Abortion I do differ from most Conservatives/Independants. My view is it is indeed up to the Woman.Do I advocate Abortion,NEVER, but a Issue of this magnitude after much thought must be that womens descision. I under NO Circumstances would ever condone LATE TERM Abortions!

  10. One more note that OLD man forgot. This Procedure should NEVER be paid for by TAX PAYERS, NEVER!

  11. Paying for abortions by all taxpayers goes against most religions and those that practice them. To many religious people it goes against their faith to pay for an abortion through there taxes. Where are those Americans freedom of religion?

  12. Great news for pro-lifers and all conservatives,
breaking news has it that Dede scuzzafullofit
is dropping out of the upstate Newyork race there by garaunteeing a Doug Hoffman win.
That is one victory chalked up for the new conservative movement and a defeat for the liberals and the country club republican leadership. We all need to do what we can to help this new movement to keep snowballing.

  13. Hi Chris,
Thanks for stopping by my photo blog. I've enjoyed what I read here. I'm happy to see that one of our MI congressmen is against this section of the bill.
You asked about a womans perspective on this. I am against abortion unless the mothers life is in jeopardy. As a nurse I can tell you that this is extremely rare. In the case of partial birth abortions, where they say they are doing for the Mother's health, it's a lie. The baby is nearly born, when they kill it and it still needs to be delivered. In the case of rape or incest, having an abortion is actually one more trauma for the Mother to go through and feel guilt about.
I like what you have to say and I'll be back.

  14. Doug,
I hope the NRCC is paying HUGE ATTENTION to that WEAK GOOD-FOR-NOTHING RINO and getting the message!

Nothing less than A CONSERVATIVE WILL DO !

  15. Mari thank you so much for your view on this subject. You have more insight then most of us on this subject being a nurse and all. I love your pictures of the trees. Don't be a stranger to our post.

  16. Christopher, I really doubt they do get the message, they look down on us. That Michael Steele is a joke and I think we knew new leadership across the board.
That joker thinks there is room for any view point and has said as much.
If everything is acceptable then you dont stand for anything.
I cant believe Newt Gingrich would not revoke his endorsement of Scuzz.
We are definetly in need of some new blood.
Like our founders said a little revolution every now and then is a good thing and we are way over due for it in the republican party.
All we need is that one individual who will rally the troops and bring about victory across the country.
Vision and clarity and morality is what the majority seek and desire, and so far we are still waiting for that one individual who will grab the reins and lead this once great nation back to its rightful position in the world as a place of opportunity

  17. Doug,
As usual I tend to agree. That said (not knowing much about him) Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) sounds like he has his head screwed-on RIGHT so even though he has that "R" does not mean all is lost.

Same goes with Cantor,Jindal,Bauchman,Palin and others including Hoffman and even Sen. Joe Lieberman!

Gingrich is a dinosaur,he just road Reagans' coat-tails and quit, caught acting liberal! He now is nothing but a RINO. Olympiya Snowe should also go the way of the dinosaur, neither one good enough for oil!

There is a steam-roller headed right at D.C.!

  18. p.s. to my 22:02 comment,

That Sen. Grahm S.O.B can join Gingrich and Snowe in the GD dirt as well !
