Obama Said Drill Here Drill Now Would Take Too Long, So He Focused On Algea

This is no joke. He said that drilling for oil here and now wouldn't help us much now. But growing algae and turning them into biofuel, wind and solar are what he will focus on. The left wingers are cheering this idiotic response to our energy needs.

  1. yep...all I can think is how much money those greenies must be giving his campaign. Algae??? seriously!
While I most definetely believe in exploring and creating new ways to deal with less oil, to focus on one without keeping up with the needs for the other makes no sense.

  2. i mean he's crazy right because Wind and solar pollute our drinking water, and algae to bio fuel has the remarkable coincidence of fault activity called earthquakes. Lets drill in Chris's yard right now. He'll give it up for the home team won't he?

  3. Let's put algae pools and windmills in Anons. yard. Use your brain for a change Anon. Think past the Media Matters and Obama admin talking points for a change. Our waterways are the cleanest they've been in decades and getting cleaner.

    1. EPA Report Links Fracking To Water Pollution

Hmmm they drill drinking water wells and find the hydrocarbons that are in frakking fluids in the drinking water. And its not some liberal bastions like California thats complaining, its a town in the consistently red state of Wyoming where residents have been complaining.

    2. How about we get the easy stuff first. I never said oil is perfect but it works. Algae, wind and solar are proven failures and you won't admit it.

    2. I just reread what you first posted on earthquakes. I still couldn't get it from ypur first post, but the second post is more coherent.

Earthquakes are on the rise all around the world. Maybe "climate change" did it. Lol. A few scientist put out a report and you libs buy it hook line and sinker without a thought of your own. Will everything that happens in the world be attributed to our impact?

    3. I'm sorry that i don't believe that Jesus is responsible for the quakes, but you certainly like to think your bright, so you should by now realize that humans can and do change the way things happen on earth. From fertilizer run off, to increased pesticide use, disease transmission and so forth we do affect our habitat. Only a fool would think otherwise.

    4. Yah, the all powerful humans are doing everything to the world. and if we just use solar, algae and wind energy everything will be utopia. It sounds like you think you are a god. Ha ha ha. That is precious. You're all knowing and all powerful. Lol. Only a fool would read a few scientists opinions about earthquakes being caused by fracting. Massive earthquakes have happened long before fracting. Think about how little fracting effects the crust of the earth and it's faults. Now look at all the other factors and how large those are in comparison. The earthquakes in Asia over the last few year has done way more to effect the ring of fire faults then drilling for oil or water. Heck for that matter raising or lowing the Great Lakes by a foot puts more pressered on and off then drilling for oil.

Only an unhinged person would deviat from earthquakes to fertilizer run off, increase pesticide use, disease transmission... Only an idiot would say we have no effect on our planet. Is that your logic?

  6. Chris,
So now that Beck's favorite Gold company is getting smashed for deceptive practices and is paying back 4.5 million to defrauded customers what do you think Glenn will pay you and what will you pay your readers for defrauding them with the rest of his lies and deceptions you have cut and paste?

  8. Are you kidding me Anon? God was $700 an oz. when I told people to buy it. I never told them where to buy their gold. Are you a heavy drinker or something? If you had bought gold you would have made $1,000 an oz. Don't you feel stupid for not buying gold now and saying I would be wrong? You should.

    1. Chris,
      1) Goldline was a major sponsor of one of the people you routinely cut and paste, Glenn Beck. If you use the search the blog function we find that you have 36 posts over 3 years, our one a month.
      2) You should reconsider the last time you told people to buy Gold. Because i have a feeling it was a lot later than Sept 2007 when gold was 702 per oz.
      3) If only you had told people to buy Gold when Dubya got elected. Gold tripled during his two terms. Golds only doubled under Obama.

    2. So gold has doubled in three short years and tripled in 8 ? Do the math. Doubling your money in three years is a great investment. Thanks for pointing that out. Lol

  9. To this 'anon' individual,,,

As I interpret your words here I believe you do not like any extraction of oil be it fracking or drilling or no matter where this might occur for that matter. Would I be correct in my interpretation?

If so, logic (logic maybe foreign to you but must be applied) would dictate that you cease all use of crude and sweet oil immediately.

Now one one has to wonder, if oil use ceases abruptly, just what would you and others such as yourself replace it with? By abruptly I mean say 10 years.

    Now before you answer consider this point;

The very computer you responded on be it a PC or Laptop is built with oil; The casing, the wire coating, the transportation including roads, trains, trucks, planes, ships, buildings etc. But more importantly, refrigerators, that store food to feed all the people who operate all those professions.

Now there is a word, professions, that many are calling "jobs".

So if oil creates jobs, then you are advocating the idea that people live in poverty by taking those jobs away.

Please do us all a favor and think for once.

    1. Do us a favor and stop taking things to extremes. You are not correct sir. We have entered the strange world of conservative politics where the innovation they claim the free market will bring has not occurred (in oil's case)and accompanied by a smug enjoyment of the GOP who bask in the glow of Big Oil's money. You could even add the politics make strange bedfellows as the UAW has often been in bed with keeping us tied to big oil as a way of protecting auto workers.

But digression aside, many if not all of these oil based technologies could have and should have been eclipsed by non-crude based ones. It's the old what if Reagan hadn't been committed to oil and had left the solar panels on the white house where would we be now. And yes, government drives innovation, especially given the money the DOD spends.
