Democrats Threaten Massa Over Health Care Vote: More Chicago Politics

Eric Massa speaks at an event.

Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.), who plans to step down on Monday afternoon, made an appearance on a WKPQ radio show this weekend to explain the events leading up to his ongoing ethics probe and to accuse the Obama Administration of conspiring to remove him from power.
According to Massa, the ethics probe arose from an incident that took place at a raucous wedding party on New Years Eve.
"One of them looked at me and as they would do after, I don't know, 15 gin and tonics, and goodness only knows how many bottles of champagne, a staff member made an intonation to me that maybe I should be chasing after the bridesmaid and his points were clear and his words were far more colorful than that. And I grabbed the staff member sitting next to me and said, 'Well, what I really ought to be doing is fracking you.' And then [I] tossled the guy's hair and left, went to my room, because I knew the party was getting to a point where it wasn't right for me to be there. Now was that inappropriate of me? Absolutely. Am I guilty? Yes."
Massa also spoke about what he sees as connections between the timing of the disclosure of these sexual harassment allegations and his reluctance to vote yes on health care reform.
"Mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill," Massa said, "and this administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots."

Massa wasn’t finished there. Here is what he had to say about Rahm Emanuel:
From The Hill:Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) is taking some harsh parting shots at the White House on his way out of office.
Massa, who is stepping down amid allegations of sexual harrassment, said that Emanuel is a ruthless tactician who would “sell his mother” for a vote.
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn,” Massa said in a radio interview. “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”

  1. Gosh Chris, do you mean Comrade Bruce Fealk lied to me when he said that Massa stepping down was all about his cancer? Instead he was hitting on his male "staffer"? awwwwwwwkwaaaaaaard! LOL

    I guess when those idiots who voted for Obama for "change" didn't realize the change was going to be from politics as usual to the dirtiest politics you've ever seen!

  3. Of course, Republicans have their problems as well. Like RINO John McCain trying to regulate vitamins of all things. And who's the guy wasting time on NCAA football playoffs?!?! Now Joey, THESE are the guys who have too much time on their hands, wouldn't you agree?!?! LOL

    Go to DownsizeDC.org, and send a letter to your representatives opposing John McCain's vitamin regulating bill. Again, DownsizeDC is non-partisan. Here's the letter I sent:

    Please oppose S.3002, the Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010.

    Senator John McCain has introduced S. 3002, the Dietary Supplement Safety Act (DSSA).

    This bill will:
    * control my ability to use vitamins,
    * for the benefit of the major sports leagues
    The following welfare queens endorsed McCain's bill within hours of its introduction:
    * The NFL
    * The NBA
    * MLB
    * NHL
    * The NCAA
    * The PGA
    * The U.S. Olympic Committee

    Nearly all of these entities receive tax funding to build the stadiums they play in. Now they want to make your supplements more expensive so that none of their rich athletes will accidentally ingest anything banned by league rules. But you can take action to kill this bill.

    It's crucial to understand that most vitamins and supplements aren't drugs. Our food that grows in the ground, or on the hoof, is full of these substances. That's one reason why previous government attempts to label these nutritional supplements as drugs, and regulate them, have met with fierce public opposition.

    Instead of regulating supplements Congress passed the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 DSHEA).

    That law states that most nutritional substances do not require FDA pre-approval before going to market, and cannot be re-classified as drugs.

    Now, John McCain seeks to repeal key provisions of the DSHEA. Yet in his remarks introducing S.3002:

    * he provides no evidence that the relatively free-market approach of the DHSEA has failed
    * he cites no evidence that dietary supplements, consumed by 150 million Americans, are unsafe or a threat to public health

    And the DSSA is completely unnecessary to address the (minor) steroid problem. In fact, the problems McCain does cite were already addressed by current law, which has not been competently enforced by the FDA!

    * the FDA already has authority to ban any substance containing anabolic steroids
    * and products are already required to list all their ingredients

    To make matters worse, "...the bill reverses "common law", which assumes all is legal unless restricted. DSSA would allow only what is permitted to be legal."

    The DSSA is nothing but regulatory "corporate welfare" for major sports leagues (and multi-national drug companies). It will put the FDA in the business of helping the NFL, MLB, etc. enforce their substance policies -- at our expense.

    This bill will deny us freedom of choice, place expensive burdens on small enterprises, and do nothing to protect our health. It will actually make us less healthy, by causing nutritional substances to be less available and more expensive.

  8. Pure Chicago style politics. Ultimately, it seems that many Chicago style politicians end up in prison. Wonder how many and who of the Obama cabal will end up there.

    Dan Rather: “Obama couldn’t sell watermelons”

    DAN RATHER: Part of the undertow in the coming election is going to be President Obama's leadership. And the Republicans will make a case and a lot of independents will buy this argument. "Listen he just hasn't been, look at the health care bill. It was his number one priority. It took him forever to get it through and he had to compromise it to death." And a version of, "Listen he's a nice person, he's very articulate" this is what's been used against him, "but he couldn't sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic."
    Well here is the video of the much talked about quote from Dan Rather. Notice how Mathews immediately begins talking over Dan Rather and never bothers to admonish him. This is the typical way the left plays fast and loose with off colored statements.

    From what I heard on Rush today, the video clip has been scrubbed from Matthew’s site. Had this been a conservative or a Republican who made this analogy, it would have been blasted on every single network in America. That old double standard is firmly in effect.

    When ObamaCare finally crashes and burns, expect a lot more of these off colored remarks to slip past the lips of the compassion people.

  11. I think you are right about that "off color" thing. The Liberals tried to tage us as racist like them and it will show when people lose hope in Obama.

  12. Watch the video of what Massa is saying. He is on Glenn Beck for the whole hour tomorrow. The Democrats in Washington are loosing it over thaqt interview and all the beans will spill.

  13. HAHAHAHAHA - Rather - another racist liberal shows his stripes. Kinda like brucie boy.

    John, I've been battling back and hip problems, tough to sit at my desktop very long, I have been watching, though. And I bought a notebook and wireless modem, so now I am good anywhere in my home.
