  2. Mark you have a great family name with a lot of history. Thank you for letting everyone know what kind of blog you have. Visiting blogs and seeing the art and personalities of all the people is an eye opening thing. There are a lot of people that haven't posted before that I'd like to know more about their blogs.

  3. AHH, you noticed my ancestry have you. LOL!
    Thanks! :)

Yep, I'm quite proud of it and feel I am speaking for them today, for they no longer can speak for themselves.

I would like to see the (now) 70+ folks here pipe up on this thread and tell us about theirs, too.

  4. Chris, you could help by placing a 'Blog roll' widget on your blog.

  5. Christopher I do have the 'Blog roll' on my profile. I have to see if I can add it to the main page. Thanks. Christopher has a good piece about fishing becoming illegal. I have to admit that that piece hit homke for me an avid fisherman.

  6. Walter Williams, as usual, puts the issue into the proper context. Good luck challenging his argument.

  7. Here's an excerpt from Thomas Sowell's latest column.

"The experiences of life can help people outgrow whatever they were indoctrinated with. What may persist, however, is the lazy habit of hearing one side of an issue and being galvanized into action without hearing the other side-- and, more fundamentally, not having developed any mental skills that would enable you to systematically test one set of beliefs against another."

It sounds to me he's met Bruce.

  8. Paul, sounds like he's been looking in the mirror alot and seeing Ann Coulter on the side.

Did anyone notice the Patrick Bedell picture lists the Ludwig Von Mises institute? Thats not a very DNC organization. He might once had been a Democrat but he sure has some strange thoughts and looked like he was leaning conservative/libertarian.

  9. JoeC a lot of Ex-Dems are going to the Libertarian Party or independent.

  10. It strikes me that he probably registered along time ago and hadn't changed it when his leanings changed.

I say that because i haven't gotten around to changing mine. I'd be listed as a republican.

  12. Who pissed in your coffee today Joe?

  13. It was nice without all the liberal clutter. But now they are back trying to make this blog harder to stomach. In other words you libs make me sick.

  14. Jeez, true dat anonymous. It never fails, I leave Joey a nice comment on one blog topic, and then I move over to another topic and he's taking shots at people.

Mark, seems you can't take pride in anything or the jealous folks will try to knock you down. Very cool that you can trace your lineage back to a founding father. I guess it isn't that big of a deal to some people who could care less about our past. I find it sad that people think like that. Good on ya for honoring the tradition of your ancestors and what they stood for.

Where would you be listed as a Republican Joey? Did you change recently? Feel free to drop more details (and fewer insults if possible). Or maybe you just enjoy stirring things up and getting everyone riled up, rather than have a discussion about things. You must already have your opinions formed about everything, and just want to piss on everyone's parade. I really don't know why you comment on here if it isn't to have a discussion or offer some insight. At least on the other blog topic you listed your differences with Walter Williams. That was an enjoyable comment that you made Joey. This one ... not so much.

Well, as you know Chris keeps it open and free to write what you like. Nice to have that freedom, isn't it?

Your affinty for attacking the author and offering nothing to refute their words is becoming tiresome, besides being very weak.

  16. anon i was joking with him....its all in fun and games....

John, along time ago when i got my license renewed i was asked and i put down republican. I never changed it. So somewhere in the state data based i am listed as a republican.

  17. AWWW little Joe. Does his best to minimize something he has no control over. Doesn’t that just chap your ass?
I would suspect your bloodline is that of a cockroach … I’m so sorry.

  18. John, I couldn't care less what little Joe thinks about my ancestral background. It's nothing he can take away from me or control and just because I happen to be proud of it, he tries to make me feel minimized.
    HA!
    Thanks for your appreciation.

  19. Joe tends to look down on most people. Just look at his old posts and how he treats you's as being less then he. I pity a person like that. He must have a lot of progressive hate in him.

  20. Of Mark But What The Heck! Any Body Else out There Get A Letter From Census Saying They Would Be Sending out The Census in a WEEK! WHY The First Letter?

Hope This Is NOT The Example For Government Run Health Care or Maybe it Is!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I see Joey. Is that something that they used to do, ask about party affiliation? Or do they still do it? It's been a while since I had to get a new license.

So I guess you are exempt from being an organ donor, since listed as a Republican they just assume you have no heart? LOL, figured I'd beat you to it!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Al, I did get that letter. I guess it's just to warn you not to throw out the census when you get it ... but what is going to keep you from throwing out the warning letter?! LOL, just another waste of money, like when they send out the letter saying you are going to be getting a tax rebate or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Al it's just more proof that the government thinks we are dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Al- "WHY The First Letter" it's a warning shot, so you know to take your vacation. lol

Please keep it clean and nice. Thank you for taking the time to post you thought. It means a lot to me that you do this.
