Arrested for Being Christian Preachers at Dearborn Arab Festival 2010

What do you think? This isn't about race but religion for those liberals that like to make this and everything about race.Associated Press logo smallDEARBORN, MI - Police in the heavily Arab Detroit suburb of Dearborn say they arrested four Christian missionaries for alleged disorderly conduct at an Arab cultural festival.

Police Chief Ron Haddad says his department made the arrests Friday. The four, who are free on bond, insist they only spoke with people who wanted to speak with them. Christian proselytizing at the festival has been a matter of dispute for several years.

Haddad told the Detroit Free Press he isn't taking sides, but police have to keep peace at a festival that draws 300,000 people over three days.

On Thursday, a federal appeals court said evangelist George Saieg could distribute information on the festival's perimeter. He was not one of the four Christians arrested.

  1. Is this still America? Seems like freedom of speech and religion only applies to non-Christians and anti-American speech.

  2. The video will prove their innocence. And embarrass the Dearborn Police.

  3. Chris, why won't you and your guests here stand with other Christians especially resident Arab Christians and denounce the tactics of this group.

Why do these out of towners have to come in and repeatedly disturb the peace. Let the New Yorkers from 17 Assclowns and Californian Saigh do this in their states.

But once again its Christians trying to get special treatment...

"Because the festival organizers and the police were treating all organizations equally with this rule, including Muslim organizations, and because the rule was aimed solely at leafleting and not speaking to people or wearing clothing with a message on it, the district court judge ruled that this was a permissible “time, place and manner” restriction that did not violate the First Amendment."

I think the court was correct. Everyone was allowed to leaflet in certain areas, but not throughout the entire crowd.

  4. To the fools of Dearborn, Michigan, what kind of fool sheriff did you elect? Here in Nevada, Sheriff Gillespie wouldn't stand for his officers tramping on the US Constitution’s First Amendment. Elect that BOZO Sheriff out of office!

  5. Arrested for Disturbing the PEACE!!!!

I am sure in you hatred of Muslims that you think this is okay. That stirring up trouble in a Dearborn Michigan by a group from out of state is so much like Christ.

Do you think about the everyday minister, layman, or ordinary Christian who lives, works and lives alongside of them? Do you wonder how much harder it will be to convert the Arab people of Muslim faith around there? How much distrust it will breed, how more they have to do to show the mercy and kindness of Christ?

Or do you prefer to antagonize and hate hoping only to get the wasps even more fearful of their neighbors? Is the internet show more important than the love of God. Do you replace Christ's message with one of ridicule and scorn. Do you think that you can bring people to Christ by hardening hearts. Is it their or your job to ridicule him, to make him less trusting of Christ?

I love and believe in Christ as my savior but i despise christians. You are to be my brothers and sisters and yet I can't walk with you when this is your way of being Christlike.
