Watch: The History Of Unions

After watching this I see why the Union members on the left use race on every issue. It is ingrained in everything they

Watch Glenn Beck weekdays at 5p & 2a ET on Fox News Channel
have done since they have begone.

  1. The federal government is shutting down the dredging that was being done to create protective sand berms in the Gulf of Mexico.

The berms are meant to protect the Louisiana coastline from oil. But the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department has concerns about where the dredging is being done.

Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser, who was one of the most vocal advocates of the dredging plan, has sent a letter to President Barack Obama, pleading for the work to continue.

Nungesser said the government has asked crews to move the dredging site two more miles farther off the coastline.

"Once again, our government resource agencies, which are intended to protect us, are now leaving us vulnerable to the destruction of our coastline and marshes by the impending oil," Nungesser wrote to Obama. "Furthermore, with the threat of hurricanes or tropical storms, we are being put at an increased risk for devastation to our area from the intrusion of oil.

Come on America we need to remove unions from the government because they are holding us hostage.

  3. Take a look at the smaller video. The first video is about the fly, funny. The second video is about the unions and racism within the unions.

  8. joe go to any of there web cites presto videos,i rest my case!

unions were at one time were needed to protect all workers. now it seems to me its a political thingy with GOD knows how much cash flowing into the political arena. do union memebers who have different political views than union talking heads have their dues put toward their political canadates?

unions in my opinion are not for the majority of union workers but for the few that are poor at what they do either thruogh workmanship or work habits. unions do what they can to keep poor members employed even at cost of product or sales. with auto production i beleive in 70s American auto companies got bad product from to many bad employees but were unable to rectify problem ,thus bad products actually drove many citizens to be first time forgein auto buyers. auto industry is just now recovering from that.

one benifit of government job use to be security. now we have more union government jobs than private sector jobs and the government jobs add what to economy. we are approaching where government can not substain its spending and union contracts.how do government employees get paid? i beleive either they dont which will cause some protest or citizens taxes going up.

  10. Al, yeah don't blame the company for its own mistakes in the 70's blame the union. I'm sure the union made the Pinto a bomb waiting to happen, or created the Mustang II, or continued building large gas guzzlers long after the Japanese started introducing smaller better mileage cars.

Notice one thing about the car recessions in the 70's and the 2000's, they were defined by bad product from an engineering and design stand point. and people like you blame the union.

  11. i do blame companys for going along with union contracts that paid union members for not working, that 90% thingy when not working or my personnel favorite the job bank. what did those two issues do to keep American auto companies competitive with foreign companies?

designers and engineers did what on assembly line during production of the crap being produced. i bought three new autos in 70s early 80s and they were all crap.

if company making anything cannot control employees preformance then that makes for a better product how?

    ReplyDelete
  12. And they were designed to be crap.

Stop blaming us for the lousy engineering.

yeah, sure there are bad employees, but in my time on the line i have never known one to purposefully make a bad part. I have known supervisors to ship parts that were on quality hold (design and supplier issues) but not one person who made a bad part.

But the issue with employees is usually tardiness or asbenteeism, not bad parts.

  13. Joe I Know Of Auto Workers From 70/80s and Drinking WAS Problem On The Line. Hell I Use To Drink With Them And The Next Day Help Them Locate Their Cars Before They Went To Work!

Successful Companies DO Have Control Over Employees Preformance And The Rest Will Eventually Disappear Or Need Bail Outs.

CEOs And Unions Almost Destroyed Auto Companies. Companies Thinking Consumers Would Buy Crap And Cow Towering To Unions Demands. Unions Defending Unexceptable Preformance From Employee Members. Now You Add Things Such As 90% Pay When Laid Off And Job Bank That Added What To Cost Of Autos?

Together CEOs And Union Created The Perfect Storm!

  14. Hey Joe This Is Karma For Sure : Im At By Diner Having Breakfast And This Guy I Know There Says He Has Now Got The Next 8 Weeks Off From Auto Company. He Says Sub Pay For Eight Weeks At 90% And Hes Looking Forward To Summer.

Does Bail Out Money Pay For That? If So If CEOs Caught Hell For Bonuses How Come Union Didnt About Sub Pay? Bet Its Got Somethin To Do With All Those Campaign Donations,What Do You Think?

    ReplyDelete
  15. al, you mean the guy is laid off receiving unemployment for the next 8 weeks right? Sub pay is the difference between what unemployment pays and what 90% of forty hours does.

why doesn't Congress blow up about that, because Sub is small change compared to multi million dollar bonuses? And because the dude, is putting that money right back into the economy, he's eating out right?

    ReplyDelete
  16. So Joe You Got 8 Weeks Off In The Summer Basiclly Being Paid For By Tax Payers Just Like The CEOs. Even If Its Small Change Joe Tax Payers Paying The freight For Guy To Eat Out. Hope He Left A Good Tip. Hell Tax Payers Are Paying For It.

Is That JOB Bank Thingy Still Going On, Oh Never Mind According To You Its Small Tax Payers Change!
