Do You Feel Safer In America Or Abroad?

hitlistsite.jpg
Shown here is an image from the Shumukh forum, an Al Qaeda-linked website.

The Department of Homeland Security has sent out an internal alert warning that jihadist websites last week posted a "hit list" of American executives, officials and companies -- an alarming development that could mark the start of a new phase in terror plots.
The list, which covers dozens of names connected to the Iraq war, including executives at Halliburton and KBR, was compiled by users who vowed to "send explosive mail" to the "best target." The lists were published online around the same time American-born Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn released a video in which he called on Muslims in the U.S. to kill Americans.

These Muslims are following the writings in the Qua ran. I know that many Muslims don't adhere to those evil writings that tell Muslims to kill or enslave non-Muslims. If you have read the Qua ran you would see why millions of Muslims around the world want to kill and destroy America and Israel. We are the antithesis of the Islamic faith. This is why Muslim clerics have called for a jihad on Israel and the Western way of life. We believe man can govern himself. We believe in free will. Our Constitution is as much against the Muslim belief as you can find. The Holy Bible tells us to do the hardest things to do, like love your enemy. These are all things that go against Sharia law the Qua ran.

We are in a jihad, period. The war on us is real. Does the Qua ran stand on the side of good or evil? The Qua ran call for the blood of non-believers or the submission to Islam.

Have you noticed how much in common the left-wing has with the Qua ran and it's followers? Is it any wonder why most liberals stand with and assist radical Islam? They both want the same things. Death of Americans through abortion, submission to their rule, destruction of the Constitution and the end of Israel and the Jews. There is no debating the fact that "bird of a feather flock together". That is why the FBI is looking into liberal organizations and the unions. It doesn't take a genius to connect all the dots. And most people can tell the difference in good and evil. Maybe the fringe left can't. Or maybe they are just blinded by their innate hatred of all that is good. This is why liberals are known as the "minion".

These threats are real. We have been told too prepare for the worse and pray for the best. Are we prepared for what Islam wants to bring? Do you think the government will save you if needed? I'm not counting on the government. We as Americans need to stay vigilant since it has been American citizens that have found most of the terrorists plotting to destroy us. Keep your eyes open and call Homeland if you see anything unusual. Muslims know how weak we are right now. We also need to pay close attention to the radical left and unions. We have seen them call for terrorism within their leadership. Keep an eye out on these liberals. We know how dangerous they can be. They like Muslims will do what it takes to get their way. They will use our weakness against us. Being prepared can only help us and hurt them. We must govern and take care of ourselves. To expect the government is just foolish having their record.

Our Educational System Is Destroying Our Future

                            National Assessment of Educational Progress

Here are the national scoring of proficient and above by grade.
  • 20% of 4th graders
  • 17% of 8th graders
  • 12% of  12th graders are proficient or above for grade
Can you see the trend? Is this OK with you? Is this how we treat our future? I know Democrats want to keep things just the way they are, where the voting unions and bureaucrats are in control of the children's education. The Democrats are the same party enslaving those poorly educated children with our debts. The Democrats are also the party that is trying to destroy SSI and Medicare by keeping everything as it is.
I'm not blaming teachers. I'm blaming the teachers unions and bureaucrats for this dumbing down. We can't argue with the numbers. The whole educational system is broke. Trying to patch it up hasn't worked.
It's time that parents abandon this system first. The only way we can change the system is too not put into it. We the Parents are in control. It is our job to make sure that our own children are getting the best in education. If you want to put your children in government public education that's your business. If you don't mind having one teacher to 25,30 or even 40 children it's all good. This is what we get when we put the government in charge of something.
I know how bad times are right now. And paying a few thousand dollars a year on your children's educations is going to be hard. Believe me I know how much that money is when you don't have much as it is. But that is exactly why you must do whatever it takes to make sure that your children never have to say they are too poor to get their children the best.
If you think things are only going to get better in education we just need to keep throwing money at it, you're kidding yourself. The power of pulling your children out of the system will be felt one child at a time. We need a whole new system and patchwork and status quo isn't cutting it. We need to get rid of the whole system so we can start over. The best way too change the system is to collapse the system. Liberals have been doing this for decades. Liberals want a dumb generation. It serves them best. We need to help our children in every way we can. If you would like to help get a child out of the government school system stop by a religious parochial or private school and ask how you can help. Or have a fund raiser at the next Tea Party meeting to create a fund for disadvantaged children.
I'd really like to hear what you have to say about this? Your comments mean a lot to the readers of this blog.

Wisconsin Supreme Court OKs Scott Walker's Union Law

Wisconsin's Republican governor has won a major victory: the state Supreme Court says his polarizing union rights law can go into effect. Unions all across the country are gearing up for war. Teachers unions are sending home letters to families of children in the public schools promising and threatening worse education then we already get. If you thought the government run educational system was bad when they got all the money it will only get worse now that we are broke. Will our future generations get the education that they will need to pay off our debt with 40 or more kids in a classroom?

It's time parents of school age children rethink their children's educational needs. Let's take a page from the liberal union playbook and underwhelm the system. Nothing will change as long as the teachers unions and the government has control of our children's education. We as citizens need to do our part to take our children out of this failed public school system. Yes, parents will have to pay for their children's education. But it is well worth the few thousand dollars you might have to pay. Many parochial schools are free to members of the church or at very low cost to parents. If parents start pulling their children out of the public school systems in mass it would overwhelm the failed system and bring it too it's knees. Parents have more choices then you may think. We also hold all the power over the government schools. If conservatives pulled out their children they would learn this lesson fast.

If you live in a district that has a teachers union strike, sue the union for withholding your child's education. As we have learned from the liberal playbook, you don't have to win the suet to win. Unions are itching for a fight. They want to make the taxpayers pay up and shut up. They are spreading their propaganda. It's time we kick them where it hurts. Take away the students and the unions will go away. Parents and teachers need to be in charge of the children's education. Not unions and bureaucrats. It's your job as a conservative to tell parents of school age children there are other options to public school education. We conservatives need to put education first. It might cost us a little now but the cost is well worth it.

If the unions want a war with the tax payers let's fight back.

P.S. I pay less then $1,800 a year per child as a member of a Lutheran school. The church pays for the rest of the cost per child. My son is in the top 10% of Michigan students. The Lutheran school he goes too is in the top 10 schools in Macomb County every year. The MEAP tests in 8th grade are 100% every year. As you can see it's well worth the cost. And if you think that the schools are full of "rich" people look at all the hoopties in the parking lot at pick up time. We sacrifice so our kids don't have too.

FBI Now Investigate Based on a Hunch

All the things the left said Bush was doing Obama seems to be implementing. The NY Times today is reporting on a slew of enhancements to the FBI’s operating guidelines that essentially lower the threshold for early stage investigation tools. The FBI will be able to expand its usage of certain techniques and procedures, including polygraph exams, database searches, and the deployment of surveillance teams. The Atlantic gives a good overview of the new operating procedures of the concerns:

At what point will Americans realize that trading privacy for marginally better security is not a good deal? The left-wing and Democrats will say nothing of these new tactics to take our freedoms. The media wont even put it in the news. But the second the Republicans take the presidency from Obama they will be crying like little babies that they are being watched. We need to remind them that their side gave the power to the government. And that that power most likely is being used against them. The unions can start getting queasy when they are are recognized as a terror organization, just like the Democrats act like the Tea Partiers are. When the notice comes around to turn in your neighbor, like Obama did, guess who will be called on? Our government isn't supposed to have teeth against it's citizens. We are to govern ourselves and the government is to turn it's attention and teeth on those that want to destroy our freedoms. We can all thank the Democrats for putting those teeth in our governments mouth. And depending on the party in charge will depend on who's direction the government goes in.

See Students Try to Explain Why They Support Affirmative Action…But Not in Sports

It’s definitely worth the four and a half minutes to see the students say they support affirmative action, but then stumble and fumble as they try to explain why “skill” should be the deciding factor, not race, and that using affirmative action in sports is just “different:”
From the video’s description:
Many students support affirmative action, in an effort to promote diversity. They argue that race-based preferences “level the playing field” for disadvantaged minorities. However, these same students refused to sign our petition to apply such policies to the basketball team. At UC Riverside — where the video was filmed — 10/11 active players on the team are African American. Why not use affirmative action to promote diversity there?

Isn't it wild how students have such a hard time standing by their liberal beliefs when they are the ones that have to give up something for another? It's as if these kids have been brainwashed into thinking the way they do. They have never been challenged to think through the liberal ideology. These students have been indoctrinated into the liberal belief system. Wouldn't it be great to start asking these students to think a little about what they have been taught? This is why parents and grandparents need to think twice about sending their children to government run schools. We the parents are in charge of our children's education. And we all know what the cost of public government "free" education is. It's a failure.

Wild Edibles Are A Great Healthy Way To Supplement Food Costs

I have been collecting wild fruits and vegetables since I was just a kid. As a father with two sons I find that it is a great way too make some interesting meals. This weekend we gathered cattail tops. We steam them for 20 min. and eat them like corn, with butter. We also collect some of the greens that are so plentifull. Who needs spinach when we have burdock, plantain, chicory, dandelion, clover, anise hyssop, sunchoke, tiger lily roots and flowers, grape leaves and watercress everywhere? If you are starting to find it harder and harder to make ends meet in this depressed economy wild foods are a great way to supplement your food bill. Many of these wild foods are great for your health as well. You may be surprised at how much wild foods are in America. We all know the alpine strawberries, blueberries, raspberries are out there. But have you ever had huckleberries, paw paw, wild grape, elderberry, mulberry, highbush cranberry and serviceberry?

It's liberating to know that you can feed yourself and your family with foods that you can't find in the supermarket. Give the kids some pictures of plants and take them out on a scavenger hunt to find them. Make it a game. You will find that the kids are more willing to try foods they helped collect. My sons love going to school and telling the kids in their class what they collected and ate.

Food, like life should have many facets. For me having a bland common diet is boring. Food becomes an adventure with excitement in every bite. Our meals have a story. As food prices keep going up it become more valuable to know this skill.

Jim Rogers Blasts ‘Clowns in Washington’ During Beck Interview

Jim Rogers said: “You would think that those clowns in Washington would read one history book and see what happens when people get into this kind of situation. Nobody ever has gotten out of this kind of situation without a crisis or a semi-crisis. Now, the crisis, or the semi-crisis, is coming sooner rather than later.”

Liberalism/Progressive or whatever they call themselves today, has never ever worked. It's been tried more times then any form of government and yet it has never worked. America has something that no other country on earth has ever had. We have the ability to govern ourselves as individuales. Americans have the right to fail and many Americans do. We have the right to make as much or as little money as we want. We can use our money as we see fit. I can practise any religion I want. I can speak freely about politics, religion or whatever I want.

Liberals on the other hand don't think Americans can govern themselves. They believe that Big Brother is their big bully. Taking money from those that have in order to "take care" of those that don't. They don't believe in charity because they don't give. They use "democracy" as a platform to take from the top 50% of income earners to give to the 50% of lower income earners. Government to them is a cash cow. Not a protector of or property and freedoms. These are the people that steal from their employer and then justify it by saying they deserve it for all their work. They are the worker that does the least work and the most bitching about working. They treat their employer like they are the enemy. They think they are worth more then their boss and they think they should make more money then their boss. They think the employer is their to serve them, rather then serving the employer. They also tend to believe in natural selection without realizing they would be cut from the herd first. They say that Obama and the Democratic Party are doing a great job even though they can't back that up with proof. They are anti war and anti debt when Republicans are in office and then become warmongers and deep pockets when a Democrat is in office.

The next time you hear a liberal start talking stupid, and they always do, laugh right in their face and remind them of all the stupid things they stand for and then don't stand for. It's no wonder why doctors of psychiatry think liberalism is a mental disease that could be treated. Can you think of any other stupid things liberals say and do?

We Are Now In A "Covert War" With Yemen, That Make War #4 Now

According to CNN, we are now leading a covert war in Yemen:
Not a week went by when the anti-war/anti-Bush protesters were out when we had two wars and a Republican president.Protesters gather in Times Square to protest the Iraq War and U.S. involvement in Libya (Photo/Sophia Hall, WCBS 880)
Students at anti-Iraq war protest where tens of thousands of marchers gathered at the Capitol dome students-against-war-on-iraq

\
Where is Code Pink and the "Gen. BetrayUs" signs now? Here is then Sen. Obama in his anti war speech in 2002 in Chicago:

COLUMN FOR THE HYDE PARK HERALD FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2002
by Senator Barack Obama, D-13
The following is a speech that I gave at a recent rally regarding the situation in Iraq. The rally was downtown at Federal Plaza and several Hyde Parkers attended:
Good afternoon. Let begin by saying that although this has been billed as an anti-war rally, I stand before you as someone who is not opposed to war in all circumstances.
The Civil War was one of the bloodiest in history, and yet it was only through the crucible of the sword, the sacrifice of multitudes, that we could begin to perfect this union, and drive the scourge of slavery from our soil.
I don’t oppose all wars.
My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton's army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain.
I don’t oppose all wars.
After September 11th, after witnessing the carnage and destruction, the dust and the tears, I supported this Administrations pledge to hunt down and root out those who would slaughter innocents in the name of intolerance, and I would willingly take up arms myself to prevent such tragedy from happening again.
I don’t oppose all wars.
And I know that in this crowd today, there is no shortage of patriots, or of patriotism.
What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perles and Paul Wolfowitz and other arm-chair, weekend warriors in this Administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.
What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Roves to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone thru the worst month since the Great Depression.
That’s what Im opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.
Now let me be clear: I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity. He’s a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.
But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.
I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences.
I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the middle east, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of Al Queda.
I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars.
So for those of us who seek a more just and secure world for our children, let us send a clear message to the president today.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let’s finish the fight with Bin Laden and Al Queda, thru effective, coordinated intelligence, and a shutting down of the financial networks that support terrorism, and a homeland security program that involves more than color-coded warnings.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let’s fight to make sure that the UN inspectors can do their work, and that we vigorously enforce a non-proliferation treaty, and that former enemies and current allies like Russia safeguard and ultimately eliminate their stores of nuclear material, and that nations like Pakistan and India never use the terrible weapons in already in their possession, and that the arms merchants in our own country stop feeding the countless wars that rage across the globe.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let’s fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality, and mismanaging their economies so that their youth grow up without education, without prospects, without hope, the ready recruits of terrorist cells.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let’s fight to wean ourselves off Middle East oil, through an energy policy that doesn't simply serve the interests of Exxon and Mobil.
Those are the battles that we need to fight. Those are the battles that we willingly join. The battles against ignorance and intolerance. Corruption and greed. Poverty and despair.
The consequences of war are dire, the sacrifices immeasurable. We may have occasion in our lifetime to once again rise up in defense of our freedom, and pay the wages of war. But we ought not we will not travel down that hellish path blindly. Nor should we allow those who would march off and pay the ultimate sacrifice, who would prove the full measure of devotion with their blood, to make such an awful sacrifice in vain.
The left and Democratic Party seemed so passionate at the time. Obama came to fame for his anti war speeches. When Obama campained on Hope and Change most Americans thought it meant we would get out of the two wars we were in. That Gitmo would close and the Patroit Act would be disabled. Most Americans thought the we would protect our borders better and we would save a ton of cash being out of Iraq and Afghanistan. They thought Hope and Change meant a world that would love us and not hate us. They thought that having a great speaker like Obama would bring the world into a better order.

What have we learned from this? Are the liberals and Democrats now bigger war mongers then Bush and the Republicans? Were those anti war protesters just useful idiots that could be turned on and off like a hollow light bulb? Why has Obama changed his tune on war? Wasn't two wars enough? Wasn't Lybia only supposed to last only a week? It's been over 80 days now. We have troops in Lybia and now we are going into Yemen. That is twice as many wars as Bush put us in. But the lefties say and do nothing. I'm glade that they stopped calling our soldiers "murderers". I'm glade that they stopped making threats on the President.

If you used to be active in the anti war movement but stopped since a Democrat came into office, why? It sure did seem like you protesters meant it at the time. Why would anti war Sen. Obama put us into two more wars? Why is Obama in a war with Lybia without Congresses approval? Isn't that illegal? Is getting into a 4th war good or bad for America?

At least when the left were going after Bush and the wars they didn't try destroying the childrens dreams at the Special Olympics:
When it comes down to it, how can you make any sense from a group that does what they do? The left-wing act like they are crazy. Look at their actions. By their actions they are either crazy, evil or just a bunch of mindless puppets of the Democratic Party. I think they are all of the above.

Jobless Rates Rise, Food Prices Expected To Jump Even Higher And OPEC Is Raising Gas Prices

I thought Obama and the Democrats were supposed to make things better for most Americans? We gave him our check book and he spent us into oblivion. He told us pumping trillions into our economy would fix everything. The Democratic Party had all the control over our government. They did everything they wanted to do. Obama cut off our domestic offshore oil productions. He printed money like there is no tomorrow. He threatened business with everything from obamacare, regulations and tax increases. He grew our government to an unsustainable size. We were told that giving our money to the unions, banks and big business would create jobs. It turns out that it destroyed private sector jobs will creating a debt that would crush the private sector.

On a positive note, 20% of Americans are unemployed or underemployed. That means they have more free time to spend with family and friends. The new normal under Obama is 9% unemployment without any relief in sight.

Today corn futures have ski rocketed. Like oil, corn is used for everything. We use it for gas, feed for livestock and we eat it like no other produce. Maybe it's time to start a garden? Inflation of food and oil is a tax that directly effects the middle and lower class. Do you think the elderly on a limited income prepared for this? Who is pushing grandma over the cliff now? You got it, Obama and the Democratic Party.

To recap, since Obama and the Democratic Party took over our money has gone to banks, big business, big labor unions and big government.  What did you get out of this deal? Higher food prices, higher gas prices, devalued money, fewer manufacturing jobs, unemployment over 9% with a real unemployment of 20%,a debt the Democratic Party wants to grow not shrink, division of our country and a shrinking private sector.

What else have we gotten? 3 wars and unrest all around the world. Our enemies still hate us even though Obama kisses their butts. Our friends have been treated like second class citizens by this admin. Riots and Muslim unrest. Has the world become more or less stable since Obama took office?

If we are too get out of the hole these idiots put us in we need a strong conservative leader. Conservatives and moderates need to get active in politics. We need to get active early in the Republican primaries.
