Game On, Progressives

The game is on,progressives. You have woken the sleeping giant and they are pissed. Now we will make it a point to go after the Blue Dog Democrats that are upset with what this liberal Congress and President have been doing. It is obvious that the Blue Dog Democrats are not welcome within their own party. The Blue Dog Democrats that have voted for the progressives eyes are opening to the fact that they didn't vote for these types of Socialist agendas. The Blue Dogs are watching the new Democratic party transform our country into a government owned and dictated social expiroment. As Democrats are starting to call themselves Independents in mass we "teabaggers" will be calling them over to our side. We will be listening to those disinfranchised Democrats and then we will give them a voice. If the Blue Dogs want to save their party then they better vote out the Progressives that are in there right now. The Blue Dogs need to put a leash on the Democratic party and bring them back to the center or risk destroying the party if they do nothing. Our economy can't keep spending the way the Democrats are pushing.

  2. I wonder how congress will handle all the new Independants? They usually stick them in with the Dems, but somehow, I don't think that will be happening as much any more.

  3. Chris, you are a funny, funny man, right up there with Glenn Beck.

  4. Chris,

There is no such thing as a blue-dog democrat. I seen it before right here where people claim JoeC (as he does himself) to be one and time after time ends up towing the liberal-socialist line.

When will you see this myth for what it is, a ruse to get RINO's on board to their agenda.

You have railed time and again as to how this country got where to where it is and at it's core are these so-called "blue-dogs" who work to suck in the RINO's to the liberal lie of being centrist.

  5. Christopher, they see themselves as "Blue Dogs" not me. I am addressing this post to the "Blue Dogs" so they know who I'm talking about. I don't want to push the "Blue Dogs" to the "Progressive" side. I have to give the "Blue Dogs" time to pull an Arlen Spector with welcoming arms. When the "Blue Dogs" come or don't come away from the "Socialist" Party then I will not try to divide the party. I feel we are in the divide and concore stage still. I think some "Blue Dogs" will bail on the Socialist party and either become Independents,Libertarians of Republicans. If the Republican party can assimulate all the parties against the Socialist party and win big. See how I call the Democrat party the Socialist party now? That is because they have proven to me that that is their goal for Amerika. I have a lot of hope in the "Blue Dogs". But if they don't change parties soon I will assimulate them into the Socialist party brand name. And once these Senators and their constituents read this bill they will bail that sinking ship. Let the people speak through the polls for a while and we will see a fundamental change in the future of politics in this country. The Republicans aren't much more trust worthy then the "Blue Dogs" when it comes to the RINO's. The Republicans are doing a great job right now so we must keep incoraging them. And we can't give up on the "Blue Dogs". That is a large party of the voting block that the Republicans can't afford to loose. When we have a candidate then I will call the Blue Dog Democrats, Reagan(fill in name here)Democrats. Those lost Democrats that don't like the socialist nature the Democratic Party has become makle them as ill as it does us. Every day the Democratic party is putting more and more straws on our backs. People within the Democratic party are jumping ship every day. It takes time. But you are right that Nov is approching but we need to remember 2012 if we are to repeal all this socialist governement takeovers of private industries. People within the Democratic Party are saying this isn't what they voted for. People that want healthcare reform hate this obamacare. Let is simmer and stew in them for a while. I've been getting more calls from my "Democrat" friends saying that this bill isn't anything like what they wanted. It does nothing to help the union members. But it helps the unions.Give it time and watch how people start coming to us. But don't expect them to all become Republicans. It aint happening. They will just leave the Democrat party first. Lets nudge them in that direction.

  6. You miss my point. I don't care if they, you or the media calls them "blue-dogs" it is a myth and or better stated a lie.

It is just as much the same for McCain or Romney and their ilk to refer to themselves as Conservatives.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Christopher I hate to break it to you but there are many different types of conservative. You view conservative are far right. I view conservative as right of center. Your view is exclusive and mine is inclusive. Nothing wrong with either view. I think McCain and Romney listened to the medai and pushed to the left. But now that the voice of the people is being heard there is a major push by all Republicans to the right. I look at it as a sliding scale instead of a cliff. I'll take a "Blue Dog" as a RINO on our side then a "Blue Dog" as a Socialist Democrat any day. I want those "Blue Dogs" to vote Republican next election. I want the Republican party to start looking for RINO's to come closer to the right to leave room for the new "Blue
Dog" RINO's. It's a baby step nudging plan. Reagan was a liberal before he became conservative. And it didn't happen in an instance. It took time. Baby steps.

The New Ledger has the news thanks to Ben Domenech.

One such surprise is found on page 158 of the legislation, which appears to create a carveout for senior staff members in the leadership offices and on congressional committees, essentially exempting those senior Democrat staffers who wrote the bill from being forced to purchase health care plans in the same way as other Americans.

John Edwards was right — there are two Americas. The one the Democratic legislators live in and the one the rest of us live in.

There simply are no words to describe the damage inflicted yesterday by Democrats upon America, her citizens, and the millions around the globe who look to America for hope - as the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Make no mistake about it - what happened yesterday was not brave, it was cowardly. It was not the best of America, it was the worst. And - at least with respect to the vote itself - it was not Republicans, it was Democrats. President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and every other Democrat who sold his soul for 30 shekels of silver ignored the clear will of the American people. It was brazen. It was arrogant. And, it was a thumb in the eye of democracy, liberty, and most of all, the American people.

But rest easy. For now you know your enemies. And they stand before you.

For too many years, America has been attacked quietly - the serpent waiting patiently for his prey, striking only periodically. Starting primarily with the New Deal, incremental socialism as President Reagan famously observed, has been slowly eating away at the great American fabric of individual self-reliance, personal responsibility and limited government… Government program by government program, inch-by-inch, career politician-by-career politician… Democrat AND Republican. For decades, you have been losing your God-given and hard-fought birthright of freedom as surely as the vote that slapped you in the face yesterday.

But now… now, you know. Your enemy is clear. And the enemy has made clear their intentions - and that is the complete re-making of America.

Your enemy now is any Democrat - for it is a Party blinded by false notions of compassion, willing to trade liberty for self promotion and so devoid of a soul that innocent life is but a trivial instrument to barter. It is a Party lacking character and it is a Party that simply does not believe in the America of our founding.

But your enemy also is any Republican who is complicit in expanding government at the expense of liberty… Any Republican who would join hands with evil and continue to walk the road of denial, telling you he is fighting for America while he negotiates away her very foundation… And, specifically, any Republican who will not state clearly and succinctly that he will fight each and every day to repeal, de-fund, and otherwise eviscerate the healthcare bill.

And your enemy is the bill itself. For, if we do not repeal this bill, we will have nothing left. We will have forsaken all those who have bled to hand down to us this, the greatest nation the world has ever known - and we will have made a mockery of God’s blessing on this nation.

The time has come to say, “no more.” Not my country. Not on my watch. I will not stand by and let my nation be sold into the chains of tyranny in the false name of compassion. The opening words of the Declaration of Independence were nothing short of magnificent - charting a new course for humanity and laying the foundation for a new world. But, the actual force of the document were not the first words - rather they were the last:

“And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.”

    What will we do?

  10. Dear Fellow Conservative,
They've done it. Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat minions in the U.S. House -- against the will of the American people -- have "passed" their radical government-run health care experiment.

I'm absolutely outraged and furious beyond belief at the Congressional Democrats' craven partisan tactics! Republicans are ready to fight back, and we need your immediate help to remind Pelosi and crew they work for you. That's why I've authorized a money bomb to send a message that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats will hear loud and clear.

    Let's Fire Nancy Pelosi!

Go to GOP.com right now and make a secure online contribution of $40 or more to support our Republican money bomb and help ensure our Party has the resources to elect Republican majorities to the U.S. House and Senate in 2010 so we can fire Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Our goal is to raise $402,010 or more in the next 40 hours.

With your emergency contribution, the RNC will lay the groundwork to fire all the Democrats who ignored the American people and passed a health care scheme that takes more of your hard-earned income to pay for their unsustainable, freedom destroying entitlement.

We need your support to make a major statement right now. Help fire Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the U.S. House and replace her with Republican leadership who will work for you and your family -- not the liberal special interest groups. Make a donation to the RNC's money bomb right away. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Michael Steele
    Chairman, Republican National Committee

  11. 100 Years of Trying- Communism Wins in the End Though

President Barack Obama remarked today after the passage through the House of his new health control law that "after nearly 100 years of talk and frustration, after decades of trying, and a year of sustained effort and debate, the United States Congress finally declared that America's workers..." have health care reform.

Obama is right- the battle between communism and liberty has been raging for over a hundred years, and last week, communism won a great battle. The headlines are shouting how after years and years of fighting, finally healthcare reform is here. The way they say it makes you think that the reform is the good guy and the bad guys were the people fighting it- but in reality, the good guys were fighting the reform, and in yet another case of bizzaro world striking, the newspapers are cheering on the bad guy, health care reform.

That is not to say that health care reform is a bad thing- don't get me wrong, I think it is nice that millions of people are now going to get healthcare, that people with pre-existing conditions get covered, etc. It's just sad that to do that, the government is going to hold a gun to my head and make me work harder and longer so that others can benefit from the fruits of my labor. In a way it's like forced charity, but not really, because it is a very inefficient charity and it is a charity that makes me not want to give and the recipient not feel thankful for the gift that is being given to him. This healthcare reform, like much of communism, degrades the human condition, by forcing one person to give to another what they did not earn, demeaning the transactions that make our society civilized and humane.

People are claiming this health care reform is historic- it isn't really. Most communist nations long ago jammed through healthcare, overcoming opposition by those who fought for rule of law, liberty, freedom, and private property protection. Stalin greatly expanded health care for poor people in the Soviet Union in the 1930's, and so whatever victory Obama achieved he did so much later than other great communist leaders of the past. I guess what the newspapers are cheering is that Obama is right- after 100 years of determined efforts to keep the government out of private transactions between a medical professional and a person, the government finally managed to do what Mao, Stalin, and Hitler did long ago and inject itself between those groups and gain power and control over the transaction.

The sadness and anger I have is that after 100 years of talk, debate, and deliberation, our nation went stupid for two elections (2006 and 2008) and that was all that Democrats needed to end talk, debate, and deliberation and ram through the society-changing initiatives to move our nation away from a Republic of laws to a Dictatorship of men. Obama is right to gloat- he did what other dictatorships only dream about, and took a society of liberty, life, and property and reformed into into one of tyranny, death, and poverty.

  12. Wow, when you advance a conservative idea from talk to reality the conservatives take it hard. Thats all that happened is a conservative idea, nationalized healthcare got voted in Sunday in a small form.

But why a conservative idea, because Rightwing republican presidents have wished to pass a form of national healthcare for years and it took a democrat to do it. Too bad for them.

  13. Joe, that may be, but it still doesn't make it right, right? I am TRULY, SINCERELY, interested in your views, rather than you just dropping in to call people hypocrites. In fact, I recall you saying (many many moons ago) that we are all hypocrites, so I don't get why you keep this up. Are we now holding our CURRENT leaders to what our OLD leaders wanted? Because if that is the case then this was a Hypocrat idea in the first place, and we can just say Nixon was a RINO. Your argument here is very stupid, frankly.

Are you up to the task of talking about your take on this, or should we just mark you down as supporting the federal government controlling everything? Put me down on the side of it being a terrible idea, and I have listed hundreds of logical reasons why over the last, what, year and a half of comments. If you support it, I would like to hear why. If you don't, same thing. So, please, use this open forum to discuss things. Otherwise you are just adding to the noise that you hypocritically accuse us of making. (See, anyone can do the hypocrite thing. Doesn't make you special Joe).

  14. Joe don't worry we will get our national health care one payer system. Believe you me it will happen sooner then you think. http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2010-03-23-health-poll-favorable_N.htm

WASHINGTON — Americans by 9 percentage points have a favorable view of the health care overhaul that President Obama signed into law Tuesday, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, a notable turnaround from surveys before the vote that showed a plurality against it.

By 49%-40% those surveyed say it was "a good thing" rather than a bad one that Congress passed the bill. Half describe their reaction in positive terms, as "enthusiastic" or "pleased," while about four in 10 describe it in negative ways, as "disappointed" or "angry."

Did you see all the millions of $$$ that health insurance and big pharma are going to be spending (WASTING) on ads promoting (propaganda) this chicanery?! Must not be so bad for the big bad insurance companies if they are promoting this. In fact, I would call it a huge windfall, wouldn't YOU Comrade Bruce?

Did you see all the millions of $$$ (not to mention the monster carbon footprint) that Obama will be wasting trying to sell this turd like a fine diamond?!? Let the Fascism begin!

LMAO @ Comrade Bruce still trying to convince himself that this was the right thing to do for the Hypocrat party.

CNN poll: Majority disapprove of Obama for first time
    Posted: March 22nd, 2010 11:07 PM ET

From CNNMoney.com Deputy Managing Editor Rich Barbieri

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll reveals that 51% of respondents disapprove of President Obama's job performance.

Washington (CNN) – For the first time, a CNN poll has found that a majority of Americans disapprove of President Obama's job performance.

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Monday, 51% of respondents disapprove of Obama's job performance and 46% approve of it.

So which poll is right Comrade Bruce? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  21. Comrade Bruce, you Hypocrats have done everything you could to keep the truth from coming out. Now we have 2700 pages worth of truth to expose. Just remember, you provided the source for the poll that I will be shoving your nose in from now until November. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  22. Comrade Bruce, you had months of an open forum here on Chris' blog to tell us what this is going to do to keep health care and health insurance costs down, and you couldn't do it. How were we keeping you from pointing those items out? Easy question to answer, because we weren't. You know there are no cost controls. You know this is 2700 of bribes paid for with taxpayer money. EPIC FAIL in so many ways!

I would laugh, but it breaks my heart that this law will hurt my country and my country-men, including you Comrade Bruce (although that part adds a little sugar). As the sign said, I will fight for your freedoms even as you vote to take mine away. It's a hollow victory for you Comrade FAILk. Enjoy it while you can.

  23. Chris, ignore those who laugh back on the inevitable.
Not only has my wife gone from a Dem supporter to a Republican supporter since Obuma got elected, but my boss, a staunch Dem supporter will vote Republican come Nov and in 2012 after what happened Sunday.
The loony left like Bruce and Joe will be left out in the field all by themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  24. John, my view is that this bill while flawed needed to be passed. nothing better was going to get done and the right thing which is single payer will forever be opposed by those on the right despite the reality that it leaves our country better off.

As the lone superpower and singularly great country we have still have gaping flaws. Ones that need to be corrected. I view this bill is one step toward correcting a obvious flaw, that millions don't have adequate health care and are left to place a huge burden on our tax dollars by using emergency as stop gap.

Another is that the for profit insurance industry doesn't actually operate on sound business principles that would make the ideas behind a free market work correctly. Associations such as American diabetes have done numerous studies on the costs insurance could save with preventive care instead of reactionary to no avail.

but you should know this and understanding means that one would be more open to a single payer system.
