Today Is A Great Day To Be A Republican

The Tea Party and Republicans should be as happy as larks, with this budget. I know that the Republicans didn't get all the money they wanted cut. But we need to remember that the Democrats didn't want any cuts and Obama wanted to add to the budget. Since the Republican Party only controls half of 1/3 of the government I'd have to say they did a great job taking control of this budget and doing the right thing.

With Democrats controlling the Senate and White House still I didn't expect much from the Republican Party. This November the Republicans will take the White House and maybe the Senate and then you will see the kind of change we need in this country.

Conservatives need to focus on State and local leaders to make deep and lasting cuts as well. The power of the Tea Party is being felt in Washington and locally. Next year will be the year that government shrinks to a sustanable level, that the private sector can afford.

  1. This November? You mean November 2012 right.

Besides that it is no time to be happy,,,,

"Debt Jumped $54.1 Billion in 8 Days Preceding Boehner-Obama Deal to Cut $38.5 Billion for Rest of Year",,,,"The debt was $14.2101 trillion on March 30, according to the Bureau of the Public Debt, and $14.2642 on April 7.

Since the beginning of the fiscal year on Oct. 1, 2010, the national debt has increased by $653.4 billion"

  2. What do you expect of the Republicans when they only control 50% of 1/3 of government? The Democrats still control the Senate and the White House. I think Boehner did a great job given his lack of control over the White House and Senate.

I know we want more then that but it must pass the presidents desk in the end. Once the Republicans tke the White House and Senate things will really change.

  3. Good point about the $38.5 billion only being for the rest of this fiskel year. It works out to be around $60 billion for a full year. 2012 is when we will make real and lasting cuts in our national deficit and government.

  4. I for one will expect much more from all politicans regarding budget and cuts. It seems politicans had NO problem Spending but when it comes to CUTS all seem to be, well cowardly to do the right thing. 2010 election although good did not get politicans from both parties attention.

The next biggy will be DEBT ceiling issue and that to me will give all a good idea on what we the citizens have going for us. Another election is what WE need to insure action that must be done. To many politican Oldies but not so Goodies that must be retired by the Vote! Just my Opinion.
