Was Obama Lieing Then Or Now

Obama Flashback: We Should Not Pass Health Care With 51 Votes
It is obvious we can not trust anything Barack Hussein Obama says.  Now I have called him a liar many times in the past when he didn't tell the truth. Well is he a liar or just a many that doesn't say what he means? Either way in my book I can't trust the words out of his mouth. Now I know for the Progressives it wont matter one bit that Obama says things he didn't mean or that he is wrong more often then not. But to most Americans we would like to believe the person that is running our country. What good is it to have such a bold face deceiver as the President of this greatest nation? Obama is now entering into a major trust issue with the American people. The only reason the Progressives don't care is because the lies ad BS are going their way. Well, except for closing Gitmo, the Iraq war, socialized health insurance and whatever else he promised to give them for voting for him. What do you think? Is Obama lieing or not? And if you think he isn't lieing could you please tell us what planet you are from.

  1. Things change, Chris. I'm sure he never expected Republicans to be so stubborn and not want to do the right thing for the American people.

Good for him for changing his mind. There's a difference between lying and changing your mind.

  3. Are you kidding, Al? Regardless of what you want to say, the CBO confirms that the stimulus bill DID WORK and work rather well.

The President and his administration has got things going in the right direction. It takes a while to dig out of the massive ditch that Bush drove the economy into. People have to be a little patient, Al.

You can't turn around an economy as big as ours overnight.

  4. So Bruce you have no problem with Obama changing what he believe was wrong before but now that it servse him then he uses it? I can't wait to see how he uses the Patriot act now that he is in charge.

  5. Bruce are you high? How can anyone in their right mind say the stimulus worked well? If it worked we would be under 8% unemployment. If it worked well then the economy wouldn't look in worse shape then it did before the Porkulus bill. I think what you meant was it worked well for the unions and the states. The rest of us are in worse shape now. Nothing pisses me off more then telling me that the stimulus jobs bill worked well. If it worked well then why do we need another one? You really are dense Bruce.

  6. Bruce since the TARP what has been turned around in the economy? What sector of the economy is better now then before the porkulus bill? I'm getting sick of Obama and the Democrats robbing my kids and grandkids future earnings to make the unions happy. They have no right taking money that doesn't belong to them to pay off Obama supporters.

  7. Bruce the only thing that changed is he's in power now.

  8. FAILk, your lies are getting more obvious. The CBO has nothing to say about if porkulus was successful or not. EPIC FAIL.

  10. As you read this, President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Senator Reid are lining up their troops to drag their government takeover of health care across the finish line. This is no easy task considering how strongly the American people have objected. Even so, they are absolutely determined to jam this through with an iron fist regardless of the electoral consequences.

Some of you may be worried by news reports that President Obama is again trying to appear bipartisan by giving lip service to ideas supported by Republicans. Don’t be. As long as the basis of his plan puts Washington in charge of Americans’ health care, there is nothing more to discuss. Don’t get me wrong. We’d love to see him support our ideas on their own merits. But the half measures he’s offered to toss on top of a trillion dollar bill are not a serious effort at bipartisanship.

While Republicans stand strong, however, the Associated Press reports that at least 10 House Democrats who voted against the Pelosi bill may be considering changing their vote if given the opportunity.

“In interviews with the AP, at least 10 of the 39 Democrats — or their spokesmen — either declined to state their positions or said they were undecided about the revised legislation, making them likely targets for intense wooing by Pelosi and Obama. Three of them — Brian Baird of Washington, Bart Gordon of Tennessee and John Tanner of Tennessee — are not seeking re-election this fall.

The others are Rick Boucher of Virginia, Suzanne Kosmas of Florida, Frank Kratovil of Maryland, Michael McMahon of New York, Walt Minnick of Idaho, Scott Murphy of New York and Glenn Nye of Virginia.”

So these are the stakes: We’re in the final throws of the battle for the future of American health care. Democrats have recognized they must get this done before they are forced to face their constituents again over the April recess. That means we have less than four weeks to engage once more in this fight. Let it be known what a terrible decision Members of Congress would be making by voting for a government takeover of health care. Let them know that you are still in this fight.

As Shakespeare wrote, “Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more.” The future of our health care, indeed the future of our country, will be decided in the next few weeks. Don’t let a day go by without making your voice heard.

  11. According to top international human rights groups there is evidence that key congressional members knew about the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) interrogation and detention programs, and that the United States government covered up the details of its cooperation with Polish authorities in the so-called rendition flights.

The groups—led by Amnesty International USA (AI USA)—received the documents in response to their Freedom of Information Act litigation. Among other things, they reportedly show that in one of his first acts as chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) discontinued efforts by previous chair to implement greater oversight of CIA detention and interrogation programs, failing to fulfill the role of Congress in overseeing the agency.

"These documents reveal that members of Congress colluded in covering up evidence of the U.S. government’s torture program," said Tom Parker, policy director for AI USA. He also called for a "full and impartial investigation" as Congress could not be trusted "to properly investigate itself."

Meanwhile, Open Society Justice Initiative, an advocacy group, said that official flight records—provided by Polish Air Navigation Services Agency in response to a freedom of information request filed by a human rights group—confirm that at least six CIA flights landed in Poland in 2003.

It is the first time a Polish government agency has confirmed that CIA aircraft landed repeatedly close to a suspected CIA secret detention and interrogation site for "high-value detainees."

"These records reinforce the troubling findings of official European enquiries and global human rights groups, showing complicity with CIA abuse across Europe," said Adam Bodnar of the Warsaw-based Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

  12. Here are some stats you can't blame on Bush:

25% Say U.S. Heading In Right Direction, Lowest Since Obama Took Office
    Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Just 25% of U.S. voters now say the country is heading in the right direction, the lowest level of voter confidence since early January 2009.

Correspondingly, the Rasmussen survey finds that 69% believe the nation is heading down the wrong track, the highest level measured in 14 months.

These findings mirror those in a separate survey this week that shows views of the country's short- and long-term economic future are gloomier than they have been at any time since President Obama took office in January of last year.

Leading up to his inauguration a year ago, the number of voters who felt the country was heading in the right direction remained below 20%. The week of his inauguration, voter confidence rose to 27% and then steadily increased, peaking at 40% in early May 2009.

Confidence has declined since. As is often the case, there was a brief burst of enthusiasm at the beginning of the year when 32% said the country was heading in the right direction, but that quickly faded.

African-American voters (42%) continue to be more optimistic about the nation’s current course than whites (22%) and voters of other races (31%). The number of Black voters who feel this way, however, is down 18 points from last week’s finding of 60%.

The vast majority (92%) of Republicans and 74% of voters not affiliated with either major party believe the nation is heading down the wrong track. Only (7%) of Republicans are confident in the nation’s current course. The latest findings echo the pessimism Republican and unaffiliateds felt for most of 2009, but Republican angst spiked six points from last week’s finding.

Democrats are much more closely divided on the question: 46% say right direction, while 44% say wrong track. In May of last year, 68% of Democrats said right direction, and just 26% said wrong track.

  13. I know I changed my mind about him and the democrat party. This year will be the first time I don't vote for all democrats. I've been voting for over 35 years.
