Open Thread:Speak Your Mind Or Ask Questions

From the LA Times: The ad man who brought us Demon Sheep -- along with King Rat and other strange political fauna -- is back with another outlandish production.
Call it Fred’s Zeppelin.
Actually, it’s Barbara Boxer -- blown up and distended to grotesque proportion -- floating malevolently over a travel-scape of California: vineyards, palm trees, sandy beaches, Victorian homes, the Golden Gate Bridge.
The ad for GOP Senate hopeful Carly Fiorina features plenty of creator Fred Davis’ trademark humor, from the ominous opening scene, which portrays the U.S. Capitol as something out of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds,” to the finale, in which a pin-pricked Boxer sinks ignominiously into the sea.
But there’s also plenty of venom packed into the seven-minute web spot. “A problem-solver…a problem-causer,” goes one compare-and-contrast between Fiorina and the Democratic incumbent. You can guess who is who, and which is which     Here is the video, what do you think?

The Democrats are being revieled for what they are and what they have become.

More Corruption From Pelosi

Starkist Tuna Cannery

No more StarKist Tuna for me .....

SNOPES" VALIDATES THE FACTS BELOW :

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district

includes   San Francisco  .

StarKist Tuna's headquarters are in   San Francisco , Pelosi's home district.

StarKist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

StarKist is the major employer in   American Samoa  employing 75% of the Samoan work force.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy 's husband, owns $17 million dollars of StarKist stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25,

Pelosi had   American Samoa  exempted from the increase

so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage.

This would make Del Monte products less expensive than that of its competitors.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed,

Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill

adding $33 million dollars for an "economic development credit in   American Samoa  "

Pelosi has called the Bush Administration "CORRUPT" and many other things !!!

How do you spell "HYPOCRISY" ?

SHE'S SHAMELESS....

EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD GET THIS E-MAIL.

PASS IT AROUND ....!!!

I'll buy the other brands now. I'm not putting another dollar in Pelosi's bank account.
This is the same thing the DemocRats did with the
unions not having to pay for health care. The Democrats are nothing but criminals thqat need to be held to justice.

Coffee Party Is Astroturf And Here Are The Radicals In The Coffee Party

  • Stacy Hopkins is a black leftist radical.
  • Alex Oxford is a big time gay rights activist.
  • Tony Anderson has ties to Van Jones.

How is it that CNN didn't find any of this on these radical Coffee Party leaders? What a health looking group they are. I bet they want free health care?LOL. The Progressives are regrouping and ready to push the conservatives down. We conservatives have made some major ground in politics. The TEA Party is the reason the Health Care debate is still going on and the Blue Dogs are sticking to their beliefs.  And that is why the Progressives have come up with this liberal buffoon fest of radical fringe progressives, the Coffee Party. We conservatives need to gain more people to our conservative left of center idealogy. We need to tell friends and family to go to the rallies and write to newspapers. We need to get more people involved if we are to make a difference. We need the Blue Dog Democrats to take back their party. We need to insure that all the Progressives are out of the Republican party. Progressive isn't working and never has. I wish both conservative Democrats and conservative Republicans would take back their parties. Both parties need to push the Progressives out of their party. When they loss power and start rioting like they always do we need to put them in jail.  They need to learn how to rally in a civil way and jail time might teach them a leason.

There Might Be Hope For Obama Yet

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says he wants projects helping specific states yanked from the health care bill Congress is writing. Democratic senators, being senators, beg to differ.
The Senate-approved health measure lawmakers hope to send to Obama soon would steer $600 million over the next decade to Vermont in added federal payments for Medicaid and nearly as much to Massachusetts.
Connecticut would get $100 million to build a hospital. About 800,000 Florida seniors could keep certain Medicare benefits. Asbestos-disease victims in tiny Libby, Mont., and some coal miners with black lung disease or their widows would get help, and there are prizes for Louisiana, the Dakotas and more states.
"We're going to do what we have to do to get a bill out of the House and Senate," said James Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. As for Obama's wish list of deletions: "We'll certainly keep it in mind as we pull together a final bill."
That tepid salute underscores the prickliness with which many senators have greeted what they consider Obama's meddling in their business and raises questions about how successful the president will be in erasing the special projects from final legislation.
It also highlights a spat between a White House and Senate, dominated by the same party, that the president has ignited just as he needs to garner support to finally push his No. 1 legislative goal to passage over monolithic Republican opposition and nervous Democrats.
Obama's proposal to eliminate state-specific items comes with polls finding heightened public opposition to backroom political deals. Republicans have been happy to fan that discontent. Many Democrats, particularly House moderates facing tight re-election battles this fall, are eager to dissociate themselves from such spending.
The president wants votes from House Democrats "who were deeply offended by those provisions in the Senate bill," said Sheryl Skolnick, who analyzes federal health legislation for CRT Capital Group of Stamford, Conn. "Clearly the math was, 'I gain more in the House by taking out those provisions than I lose in the Senate.'"
Obama has railed against the "ugly process" of cutting special deals, but the president and his top advisers were prime players in negotiations on the agreements to win votes and push the legislation forward.
Republicans say Obama's push to remove deals for states won't help. Because every Democratic senator voted for that chamber's bill and all its special provisions, even voting later to remove them leaves those Democrats in a pickle, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters Friday.
"They will have then voted for them before they voted against them," McConnell said of the bill's projects, an echo of the line that 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry uttered that proved politically damaging.
Obama came out with a summary last month of the nearly $1 trillion health overhaul legislation he wants. It specifically eliminates $100 million in extra Medicaid money the Senate bill provided solely to Nebraska to help win support from that state's Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson. The so-called Cornhusker Kickback drew such widespread scorn that even Nelson favors repealing it.
Obama also proposed changes in the Senate bill that, without mentioning it, deleted extra Medicaid money for Massachusetts and Vermont, the Florida Medicare exemption and some money for Michigan, according to White House officials.
Days later, at Obama's nationally televised meeting with bipartisan leaders on health care, his 2008 presidential rival, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., criticized the Senate bill for exempting 800,000 Florida seniors from cuts in the privately run Medicare Advantage program. Obama surprised him by agreeing, and that tone has carried over as the White House and top congressional Democrats labor to complete a compromise health package.
"We've made it clear to the Senate that the president's position in the final legislation should not contain provisions that favor a single state or a single district differently than others," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said this week.
There are exceptions. The White House says $300 million for Louisiana, which helped win support from moderate Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., should survive because of that state's struggle to rebound from its 2005 pummeling by Hurricane Katrina.
Even so, Obama's targeting of state projects is going over poorly in the Senate.
Take Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., who helped win extra Medicaid money for his state in the Senate health bill.
Vermont is one of several states that have already boosted the benefits they provide to many poor people. All states would get added federal financing for a nationwide Medicaid expansion under the Senate bill. But states such as Vermont — already providing more generous benefits — say they're being shortchanged and don't want Obama taking that money away.
"What I told Harry Reid is that Vermont does the right thing, and I don't want Vermont to be penalized for doing the right thing," Leahy said.
The White House asked lawmakers to delete $100 million to build a public hospital in Connecticut inserted by Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn. But the money will remain in the final bill, according to people familiar with Democratic negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity to disclose the unannounced decision. Less certain is the fate of other money the White House wants eliminated for Montana.
Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., put a provision in the Senate health bill allowing many of the 2,900 residents of Libby to qualify for Medicare benefits. Some of them have asbestos-related diseases from a now shuttered mine.
"It simply doesn't make sense to ignore this obligation, or victims of these disasters," Baucus said.
Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., won a Senate provision making it easier for longtime coal miners or miners' widows to get compensation for black lung disease.
The Senate bill also has extra money for hospitals and doctors in North and South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.

The Difference Between Reagan and Obama

A Virtual Debate: Reagan v. Obama

We need another Reagan in 2012. And Obama had so much promise and now he is tanking with the American voters. The people put all their eggs in one Obama basket and then that basket sucked. The contrast between the two men and how they give hope to the people is worlds apart. Time proved Reagan right and time is proving obamas progressive agenda wrong. Obama is such a downer and he tears apart America. Reagan built on what made America the greatest nation. Reagan wanted to take up into the future as the stongest world power the world had ever known. Obama want to follow Europe lead. Have you seen what Europe is looking like lately? Is that the model we should be following? I'd like to know what both sides think of how the two Presidents looked at things and troubles.

The Democrat Idea Of Health Care Reform

Why would anyone have a problem with using our tax money to do this to innocent babies? If you support   this bill you support this action on innocent children.Ask youself what kind of people call this a choice and support a health care bill that wants to make everyone pay for this?

U.S Out Of Afghanistan and Iraq But What About The Failed War On Drugs?

m20.flyer8.5x11.color.national.new

People from all over the country are organizing to om all over the country are organizing to converge on Washington, D.C., to demand the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all U.S. and NATO forces from Afghanistan and Iraq.

On Saturday, March 20, 2010, there will be a massive National March & Rally in D.C. Gather at 12 noon at the White House (Lafayette Park).

There will be coinciding mass marches on March 20 in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The national actions are initiated by a large number of organizations and prominent individuals. To see a list of the initiators, click this link.

We will march together to say “No Colonial-type Wars and Occupations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Haiti!" We will march together to say "No War Against Iran!” We will march together to say “No War for Empire Anywhere!”

Instead of war, we will demand funds so that every person can have a job, free and universal health care, decent schools, and affordable housing.

March 20 is the seventh anniversary of the criminal war of aggression launched by Bush and Cheney against Iraq(They are still blaming Bush for everything even though this is Obamas wars now). One million or more Iraqis have died. Tens of thousands of U.S. troops have lost their lives or been maimed, and continue to suffer a whole host of enduring problems from this terrible war. (Why are they counting the Iraqi's that were killed by Saddam Hussein in that million Iraqi's killed?)

This is the time for united action. The slogans on banners may differ, but all those who carry them should be marching shoulder to shoulder.

Is American History Repeating?

Watch Glenn Beck weekdays at 5p & 2a ET on Fox News Channel

People are waking up, but still, not enough are aware of what America (as we know it) is up against. And there just aren't enough in Congress and the Senate able or willing to fight it: For every Michele Bachmann there are 10 big government progressives.
It's up to you and you've already done so much! Do you know that Friday is the anniversary of the 9/12 Project? You are the only thing stopping health care from destroying America. But there is more work to do.
Progressives aren't quitting. Look, I know you are busy. I know you have a life to live. I know the last thing you want to do after you clean up the dishes, put the kids to bed, clean the house is sit down and read a book on Woodrow Wilson or FDR.
But you are going to be the difference. So you must know history. We need to look back and learn because we are repeating the same mistakes from that past:
• Back in 1933, the American economy was in crisis: Unemployment peaked at 24.9 percent. Unemployment today is 9.7 percent
• Back then Europe and the global economy were completely unstable and so were the citizens. Sound familiar?
• The president declares that government is the only one who could save it:

FORMER PRESIDENT FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT: In our efforts for recovery we have avoided on the one hand the theory that business should and must be taken over into an all-embracing Government. We have avoided on the other hand the equally untenable theory that it is an interference with liberty to offer reasonable help when private enterprise is in need of help.
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: Only government can break the cycles that are crippling the economy.

• Both in the 1930s and now, national debt was being piled on in unprecedented levels: in 1933, national debt hit $22 billion — an historic level. Today, $12.5 trillion
• Big government entitlement programs are jammed through
Do you see how history repeats itself?
We are repeating the same experiences and mistakes that allowed a depression to turn into the Great Depression. And the economic misery that's coming our way is only half of the danger because, while most people dread economic recessions and depressions there are others who are more opportunistic. They view this as their big chance, their window of opportunity.
During normal times the extremes — the radical ends of the political spectrum on the left and the right — are brushed aside. But as history has shown us time and time again, add fear and hunger to the mix and people will listen to anyone who says "I have the answer."
Take Jesus and Adolf Hitler: One's good, one's evil. They had one thing in common: When there was fear and hunger, they said I'll save you, follow me. When you are hungry and afraid it's not always easy to see the difference between good and evil.
In the 1930s and today, two people said they have an answer: FDR and Barack Obama. One said happy days are here again and one said the worst is behind us.
When FDR took office, do you know how many entitlement programs there were? Zero. In 1940, government payments to individuals were $1.6 billion. Last year, we paid our more than $2 trillion in government assistance. With so many Americans unwilling or able to stand on their own two feet, when a crisis comes how will they stand up and say no to anyone who says "I have the answer"?
Remember the bald communist, Jed ? We laugh at him and dismiss him as a kook, but I believe it is a terrible mistake to do that.
Look. I hope and pray that I am wrong about the economy. I really do. It'd be wonderful if printing more money and then spending it on turtle tunnels will kick start the economy. But somehow I don't have confidence that will work. The president is wrong: The worst is not behind us. There are tough times ahead. History has shown us you cannot spend your way to prosperity, it just doesn't work. And that's what we are pinning our hopes on — that and green jobs, which Spain and others are finding out the hard way doesn't work either.
America will be presented with a choice. We have to get off this track. You simply cannot give government more power because hunger and fear are powerful ingredients. People will listen to anyone.
Ten years ago it was ridiculous to talk about stuff like this and I'm sure critics everywhere will call me all sorts of names. And that's fine. But this isn't the first time in history we were on the edge of making the same mistakes Europe was making. Only because of our reliance on God and the Constitution did we survive last time. But oh, how close we came.
