'Boycott Connecticut' How Dumb Is That? The Left Are Buffons Thats For Sure

Certainly there is some humor in the idea of a Michael Moore-led boycott of an entire state as being anything the state would notice, but it gets even funnier when you realize how ignorant the outrage industry on the left really can be. For example, take at look at this excerpt from document (embedded below the fold) titled “Recall of Legislators and the Removal of Members of Congress from Office,” which I originally found, delightfully, at Lieberman.Senate.Gov:
As to removal by recall, the United States Constitution does not provide for nor authorize the recall of United States officers such as Senators, Representatives, or the President or Vice President, and thus no Member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States.
Oh, but it gets better still. Read on …

Look again at the screen cap. Twitter’s new retweet feature shows at least 60 retweets at the time of the capture. There are many, many more using the old manual system too. Incurious repetition of a demagogue by lefties? How … commonplace.
What’s even better is Moore has an article at his own website, a repost of a Politico article, featuring a Connecticut state legislator calling for Lieberman’s ouster. The article, on Moore’s own website, points out that recall is not possible under the constitution.
Is there anyone on this planet quicker to claim the constitution is being violated at every turn than Michael Moore and his groupies? So yes, to state the obvious, it’s hilarious that he’s so quick to dismiss as conveniences him.
We all know Moore is a clown, so this isn’t breaking news. But I never pass on the chance to point out the stupidity of inexplicably influential jackasses. See the full document on recalling Senators below:
RL30016   Bruce dust off the paper mache head. Your master is telling you to do stupid thing for the Democrats again.

Schumer Calls Flight Attendant a "Bitch" For Enforcing Cell Phone Rules
    Nick Gillespie | December 16, 2009

Sen. Chuck Schumer loves the sound of his own voice, but it carried a bit farther than he might have liked on the US Airways shuttle from New York to Washington on Sunday.

According to a House Republican aide who happened to be seated nearby, the notoriously chatty New York Democrat referred to a flight attendant as a “bitch” after she ordered him to turn off his phone before takeoff.

Schumer and his seatmate, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), were chatting on their phones before takeoff when an announcement indicated that it was time to turn off the phones....

“The senator made an off-the-cuff comment under his breath that he shouldn’t have made, and he regrets it,” Schumer spokesman Brian Fallon told Shenanigans.

    Stay classy, Chuck!

Give Tiger Woods A Rest. Hands Down Max Baucus Is The Biggest Pig Of 2009!
    by Andrew Marcus
    http://biggovernment.com/2009/12/18/give-tiger-woods-a-rest-hands-down-max-baucus-is-the-biggest-pig-of-2009/

While everyone has been paying close attention to the sexcapades of Tiger Woods, almost nobody has paid any attention to the revelations surrounding Senator Max Baucus, who is allegedly a man.

You might know that the Senator was having an extra-marital affair with a subordinate on his staff.

You might know that Senator Baucus recommended his girlfriend for a sweet job, and gave her massive pay raises.

Washington (CNN) – Montana Sen. Max Baucus gave an employee with whom he later became romantically involved a raise of nearly $14,000 and recommended her for a U.S. attorney position, his spokesman confirmed Friday.

But you probably don’t know that when the Senator began engaging a divorce lawyer, months before discussing the matter with his wife, it was his staffer-girlfriend who facilitated the meetings!

…a Lee Newspapers report on billing documents that show Sen. Baucus’ former state director, Melodee Hanes, met at least twice with his divorce attorney eight months before the Baucuses separated. The two divorced in April. Hanes now is Sen. Baucus’ live-in girlfriend.

Yes, that’s right. Democrat Senator Max Baucus is perhaps the biggest creep on The Hill!
What kind of person has their girlfriend arrange meetings with a divorce lawyer?

Below is a clip [from his own website] of the Democrat Senator lecturing the masses about “moral obligations”. What in the world does this guy have to offer on THAT subject?

  6. You have to watch this video, this is very funny but also quite informative. Nice how AARP is endorsing ObummerCare because it keeps their Medigap kickbacks (to the tune of over $400 million, more than they take in in association dues) coming while denying senior citizens claims based on pre-existing conditions. Another fine Hypocrat mess:

Taking on AARP’s Demcare fat cats
    By Michelle Malkin • December 18, 2009
    http://michellemalkin.com/2009/12/18/taking-on-aarps-demcare-fat-cats/

In January, I dubbed the porkulus bill the “Generational Theft Act of 2009.” Generational theft has been the leitmotif of the Obama administration throughout the entire year. We rang in the new year with it and the White House and Democratic majority want to end the year with it by ramming through a government health care plan that would cost at least $4 trillion and likely top $10 trillion when all is spent and done.

YAF/Hot Air TV correspondent Jason Mattera is back to speak generational truth to entitlement-expanding power. He presents AARP vice president Nancy Leamond with an invoice for generational theft and takes on the powerful senior lobby’s rank hypocrisy when it comes to pre-existing conditions (AARP’s main policy, Medigap, actually imposes long waiting periods on seniors who have pre-existing conditions, even though AARP reps, like liberals in general, decry the discrimination of folks with pre-existing conditions). Jason also confronts AARP on how ObamaCare will fatten their own wallets. Medigap, their $400 million cash cow, is left untouched by ObamaCare, while all other insurance providers are subjected to tighter regulation.
    Talk about fat cats.

They can run to the nearest taxi, but they can’t hide.

Video: Mother kills newborn, can’t be charged with crime
DECEMBER 18, 2009 BY ED MORRISSEY
    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/12/18/video-mother-kills-newborn-cant-be-charged-with-crime/

This may be the worst story of the year, at least in reference to domestic policy and crime. How bad is it? When Matt of Creative Minority Report tipped me to it this morning, I had to track it down to make sure it was on the level. A woman in Campbell County, Virginia smothered her newborn infant, and police are powerless to do anything about it:

The caller said a woman in her early 20s was in labor. When deputies arrived, they discovered the baby had actually been born around 1:00a.m., about ten hours earlier. Investigators say the baby was already dead when deputies got there.

Investigators tell WSLS the baby’s airway was still blocked. They say the baby was under bedding and had been suffocated by her mother. Investigators say because the mother and baby were still connected by the umbilical cord and placenta, state law does not consider the baby to be a separate life. Therefore, the mother cannot be charged.

“In the state of Virginia as long as the umbilical cord is attached and the placenta is still in the mother, if the baby comes out alive the mother can do whatever she wants to with that baby to kill it.“, says Investigator Tracy Emerson. “She could shoot the baby, stab the baby. As long as it’s still attached to her in some form by umbilical cord or something it’s no crime in the state of Virginia.“

Law enforcement officials have repeatedly attempted to get the law changed, asking state legislators to do something about the gap in protection for newborns. Why have Virginia legislators failed to act? They’re afraid of running afoul of the abortion industry:

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office worked unsuccessfully to get the law changed after another baby died in the county in a similar case. Emerson says they asked two delegates and one state senator to take the issue up in the General Assembly. He says the three lawmakers refused because they felt the issue was too close to the abortion issue.

Er, what? I’m not aware of fourth-trimester abortions being legal anywhere in the US. In fact, I doubt that third-trimester abortions are legal in Virginia, either. Ironically, if the baby had been killed by someone else in an assault on the mother before its birth, that person would have been charged with murder, which sets up a really interesting double standard. Are legislators in Virginia so afraid of the abortion industry that they can’t take steps to protect full-term babies after their birth? Sounds like Virginians need a new class of lawmakers.

  9. That is the sickest liberal law I have ever seen. How can these Democrats live with themselves? When that kind of sick thing happens legaly we are in deep trouble as a society. No wonder why the Muslims want to kill liberals.

  10. What the hell are you talking about, Chris? Health care is health care. This is a health care bill, not an abortion bill.

If Republicans think they have the votes for an outright abortion ban, why the hell didn't the put it forth when they had the power?

As far as your story about the woman killing her baby, yes, I think that's wrong and she should be able to be prosecuted. This is not a liberal or conservative issue.

No one likes abortion, including me. I think it should be safe, legal and rare.

Do you want to prosecute mothers that have abortions? Do you want to prosecute the doctors? I'm sure you do and build more courthouses, hire more judges and build more prisons and put doctors and women who had a perfectly legal procedure in jail, along with the people who possessed half an ounce of marijuana. Sounds like a good use of taxpayer dollars to me. (that's satire.)

  11. Bruce As long as there is NO ban on Abortions this will be a Abortion Bill in more than One way!

Question of the DAY; States have to PAY with Tax Payers dollare THEIR Portion of Medicade Expenses and where in the HELL does Michigan come up with that Tax Payers money when/if BILL passes? Michigan like MOST states are BROKE so State Taxes will OR will not have to be RAISED Bruce? The 500 Billion coming out of Medicare/Medicade still must be Pick up by Tax Payers.

I guess the States Rights portion of Constitution is now with LIB Control Irrelavant and wonder how many OTHER RIGHTS will become Irrelavant before this Administration ONE term is DONE!

Bruce the last part of your BLOG could be TAKEN as NEW Government JOBS!

  12. Bruce if it is not a liberal or conservative issue then why are they always called liberal judges when they allow this kind of thing or a liberal law? It sure as heck isn't a conservative judge or law. Liberal judges are usually light on punishment especially when it comes top rape and molestation of children and the murder of babies.

  13. Al, the Hyde amendment prohibits direct use of Federal funds for abortions. That's been the status quo for quite a while.

What Ben Nelson and Bart Stupak are trying to do is disallow letting women us subsidies that allow women to buy a plan that offers abortion services WITH THEIR OWN MONEY!

That is offensive to women and is beyond the current situation.

Yes, I suppose if states can't afford Medicaid under current taxes, there's a possibility state taxes would need to go up.
Michigan has a terrible flat tax and we need to amend the Constitution to allow for a progressive tax any way. It's time to recognize we can't keep cutting the state budget, which is cut to the bone already. We are already having to lay off police and firefighters and allow our roads to be unsalted and unplowed, creating dangerous conditions.

I suppose with your view of the world, everyone should go out and clear their own portion of the streets to keep them clear, right?

If conservatives wanted a ban on abortion, they should have tried to get one passed when they had control of the House, Senate and White House. Why is it that didn't happen, Al?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Al, as far as the 500 billion out of Medicare, that's a lie. Benefits to seniors WILL NOT BE CUT!!!!!

The %500 billion is reducing waste and fraud that you crybaby conservatives are crying about all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  15. You are wrong bruce. Why do you lie all the time? It is what the dems do.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Bruce said "No one likes abortion, including me."

Why is that BRUCE. Why don't you like abortion? Simple question, should be easy enough to answer.

And Bruce, we all know that these Medicare cuts are a big shell game. Baucus said these cuts were going to be made (although we have yet to have one Congress that makes the scheduled CUTS, which is what this IS, not taking out waste and fraud, or why wouldn't they do that NOW if they know where all this waste and FRAUD is BRUCE), and then our very own snake in the grass STABENOW added the money RIGHT BACK IN IN A SEPARATE BILL. You Hypocrats are as dirty as they get.

As for abortion BRUCE, SUBSIDIES are, guess what, TAX DOLLARS. Where do you think subsidies come from, you think Obummer shits out gold coins or something!?!?

And where is your proof that our state is "cut to the bone"?!?! If they can afford to give every state worker, INCLUDING teachers, RAISES in this economy well I would have to guess we are doing awfully well. Or else why would Jenny Granholm put that cracker-jack idiot Cherry in charge of rooting out waste and fraud in Michigan last year?!?! Boy, how is THAT going, it's taking that guy years to come up with his assessment, and the only thing he can figure out is ANOTHER TAX!! This time on WATER! Look at these Hypocrats, they literally want to tax the air we breathe and the water we DRINK!?!?

Meanwhile Andy Dillon said that consolidating all the state worker's insurance will save billions, but because of Jenny and her politics and refusal to confront the unions, she wants to RAISE TAXES. You tax and spend spend spend Hypocrats are a real joke.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Just look at all the tax dollars that were thrown at DPS. Local, city, state and federal dollars DOWN THE DRAIN. And Bruce just wants to throw more good money after bad. What is it, a 25% graduation rate, and they were never lacking for money. This state had better figure out how to be better stewards of MY money before I give them one red cent MORE. And that's just ONE example. Think of what could have been done with the millions wasted in Detroit, for the most abysmal results. Another Hypocrat Paradise, Detroit and the state of Michigan. I see now where your policies and ideas lead BRUCE. I'm sure it was all BOOOOOSH's fault though. The governor has NOTHING to do with running this state into the ground. Idiot Bruce.

  19. Bruce #1 Raising TAXES to you Seems Simple the thinking of a Big Government person!

#2 You dont get it Bruce or Maybe you DO You cannot Take $500 Billion out of a Health Care Program thats at least 12 TRILLION dollars in DEBT! Typical LIB math!

#3 500 Billion in Fraud as YOU claim SHOULD be a GREAT reason NOT too DO it Again Bruce! I thought NOBAMA said there was about 100 BILLION in Fraud but then again that LIB Fuzzy Math!

#4 Bruce If you cut PAYMENTS to Doctors I do have a FEELING some just WONT take Medicare Patients any more. Then with LESS Doctors in the Program does that not MEAN Longer LINES to see a Doctor or get a Treatment!

#5 I thought after Roe vs Wade that Abortions were LEGAL but they were not to be Federally Funded and that Bruce is the LAW but to most LIBS that just gets in their WAY!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Al, you do what all Republicans or conservatives or tea baggers do, you take one thing and turn it into another.

What you are saying, is that since we want at least one of the private insurance plans in the exchange to offer abortion as a covered service, and that some people will receive federal subsidies to help pay for their private insurance plans, and the remainder will be paid for by a customer's private funds, that you construe that to be funding abortion.

That's a real stretch. Giving someone a subsidy is NOT funding abortion.

There have been other laws and amendments to legislation since Roe v. Wade. The Hyde amendment is one of those amendments that made DIRECT FUNDING of abortion illegal. Fine. But I believe the status quo should be maintained and not broadened by and amendment such as the Stupak-Pitts amendment and the the Nelson amendment in the Senate.

You didn't answer my question, Al? If Republicans/Conservative/Teabaggers believe so much in outlawing abortion, why didn't they do it when they've had control of the House, Senate and the White House? Could it be because the Supreme Court said it un-Constitutional?

    ReplyDelete
  21. MoveOn.org, which helped fuel Obama's election last year, announced its opposition to the measure, citing its lack of a government-run insurance option. It urged its members to sign a petition saying, "America needs real health care reform - not a massive giveaway to the insurance companies."

  23. Al, are you saying that a woman should not be able to control her own body and we shouldn't trust women to make this decision?

Men should be able to tell women what to do with their own bodies, right?

If it was men that had babies, I doubt we'd even be having this discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Bruce why should anyone have the right to kill someone? Can one conjoined twin be alowed to kill the other? If suicide is illegal how can you say you have control of your body? You are just one of the sick people that have no problem killing a baby as long as its in the mothers womb. What give anyone the right to kill another human being? You sanction the killing of baies that fell what is being done to them you sick man. You are no different then the incas that killed people for religious reasons.
