Hundreds Protest FBI Raids on Anti-War Activists

MINNEAPOLIS (The Blaze/AP)— Protesters gathered outside FBI offices in Minneapolis and Chicago, bearing signs and shouting chants condemning the agency’s searches of anti-war activists in both cities.
About 150 people protested in Minneapolis on Monday, holding signs reading: “Stop FBI harassment. Opposing war is not a crime.” Roughly 120 people marched in Chicago.
Search warrants had indicated investigators were looking for connections between the anti-war activists and radical groups in Colombia and the Middle East.
Many of those searched tell The Associated Press they’ve had ties to activist groups and have traveled in the Middle East or Colombia. All denied contributing any money to terrorist groups.
A leader of the Minnesota Anti-War Committee, Jess Sundin, says at least 13 people have been subpoenaed to appear before a federal grand jury in Chicago.

From Chicago:

A home video of Mick Kelly (seen in the Minnesota clip above) explaining the raid, his position, and why he’s been arrested in the past. This video appears on the website “Marxist-Leninist: a revolutionary communist website”:
The left wing wanted big government and now they've got it. It's a shame that the same big government that the Progressives so love and trust is now coming after them. I hear chickens, do you? I hope the Progressives see what happens when you give someone power over you. All the power that the Progressives have taken from WE THE PEOPLE will change hands come Nov and again in 2012. It's things like this that we conservatives warned you about. Good luck my Progressive friends, you will need it. There is always a law or two broken that they will get you on if they really want to.

  4. Great timing. All the laws and infringments from this Progressive admin. will come back to haunt them when the Republicans take it all back. The lawless left will pay the pipper over the next few years, if not longer. Thanks to their Progressive agenda packfiring on them. It reminds me of those Muslim terrorist that blow themselves up while making a bomb. No one will cry for them.

  5. Mark do you think that the FBI will be at the socialist rally this weekend? Taking notes and names? I know that there will be conservatives watching every move they make. And when they screw up it will be on film. Just like they have been trying to do to the Tea Party without success.

  6. Chris, if it's an anti-war rally, they could be, if they are looking a specific person or persons.
The one thing I will defend is this nations right to protect it's vital interest and security interest around the world.

I know about their attacks on the Tea Party. There FB page is infiltrated with leftist, still trying to portray them as racist.
Everyday I watch the membership of the page grow with every negative comment made there.
The left is only growing the TPP movement with every bogus claim they come up with.

  7. I know a lot of union memebers that said they wouldn't go to that event if the union paid them too because of fear. Not fear from the right but fear of the groups people that are going to the rally. One Nation, as they call the rally, is turning out to be a scary group of radicals, anarchist, union mafia and socialist groups. Who would want to be seen with those kinds of fringe radical groups?
