Open Thread: Rhetoric vs Reality GOP Fights Back

How about we have a little reality when it come to who is calling for violence, who is breaking the law and who isn't following their own advice. America needs to take a close look at who is lawless. American has stopped listening to the left-wing because of their lies about the Tea Party members. If these protests break in to any form of violence, America will see it for what it is. When they become violent, I pray they don't, it will be the end to any positive public sentiment. The more we see of the liberals, the more we learn what they are and the more we dislike them. Just ask people what they think of the public unions and their greed and lawlessness. Breaking the law isn't being civil. That's just being criminal. Our jails and prisons are full enough with liberals. This is an open thread so talk about what you are thinking about.

  1. I've just had a bigger infusion of hope than I've felt for at least a decade!

Doing the right thing, doing it well, doing it for the right reasons!

Koch has some outside, paid agitators? Let them come and hang their heads in shame when they view the real thing! Even the movie selection, Harlan County, USA, is a great choice!

We will never give up. We will put the teabaggers in the ground if they say one fucking word to us. Detroit and Chicago UAW need to get their asses on a bus and get over here.

  2. wow another highly edited video. I should have guessed. Those things can make anyone look like anything.

I don't like the Hitler comparisons, just as i didn't like the ones on Megan Kelley's show either. Wait she said there wasn't any and then Stewart showed clips of them happening.

But just like the bigoted signs of the Tea Party you always get people like that. Perhaps we'll soon be as bad as the Tea Baggers with their racist, violent and death prayer signs.

Bet you'll come on and deny the violent signs.

  3. The MacIver Institute was down at the Capitol capturing video of those flocking to the protests in Wisconsin. This time, videographer Bill Osmuski caught up with some admitted revolutionaries from Chicago who came up to try and spread their message, and told Osmuski they definitely think “people are open to the possibilities of building a revolutionary movement.”

What did the communists cite as evidence? If you said “Egypt” and the unrest “around the world,” you’re right.

The group’s website explains more about its leader:

Bob Avakian is the leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. And he is more than that: he’s an innovative and critical thinker who has taken Marxism to a new place; he’s a provocative commentator on everything from basketball to religion, doo-wop music to science and he’s a pit-bull fighter against oppression who’s kept both his solemn sense of purpose and his irrepressible sense of humor.

He’s the author of “Revolution: Why It’s Necessary, Why It’s Possible, What It’s All About.”

The group, which appears to be different from the Communist Party USA, has three guiding principles:

    1) The whole system we now live under is based on exploitation—here and all over the world. It is completely worthless and no basic change for the better can come about until this system is overthrown.

    2) Many different groups will protest and rebel against things this system does, and these protests and rebellions should be supported and strengthened. Yet it is only those with nothing to lose but their chains who can be the backbone of a struggle to actually overthrow this system and create a new system that will put an end to exploitation and help pave the way to a whole new world.

    3) Such a revolutionary struggle is possible. There is a political Party that can lead such a struggle, a political Party that speaks and acts for those with nothing to lose but their chains: The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA.

Remember, they’re just your friendly neighborhood communists.

  4. Recently, Glenn Beck has been predicting that socialists would seize on the unrest in Egypt in order to promote revolution in the United States. There may be no better proof of that than the video below, shot by the MacIver Institute in Madison, WI this week.

In it, Socialists clearly root for revolution, see a direct correlation between the riots in Egypt and the unrest in Wisconsin, and hope that the same thing that happened in Egypt can happen in America.

“I feel like this response actually partly reflects that we just spent a month watching people hold revolutions and stand up in a way, frankly, I didn’t imagine was possible in the near term,” one woman says. “And I think…that kernel of resistance and defiance is the common thread here and I’m so glad to be a part of it.”

Another man announces an upcoming event, “From Cairo to Madison,“ and explains attendees will get instruction on how to ”mobilize workers like they did in Egypt.” He adds, “hopefully we can have something like that here,“ and ”workers unite”:

  5. Michael Burke

Union members took their anger over Gov. Scott Walker's union overhaul to the streets Monday, including the one on which state Sen. Van Wanggaard, R-Racine, lives.

Racine Education Association and Kenosha Education Association members and several students picketed in front of Wanggaard's home at 1246 Blaine Ave. Monday evening. Twenty minutes after the protest began, about 45 people marched in front of Wanggaard's house chanting, "Union yes, Walker no!"

  6. Message to Wisconsin taxpayers: President Obama and the Democratic National Committee have declared war on you. Message to other states: You're next.

The political unrest in Wisconsin, billed as some kind of grass-roots uprising, is being organized and directed by Barack Obama‘s Organizing for America and the Democratic National Committee. This development is consistent with Mr. Obama‘s instructions for supporters to "get in the face" of those who oppose them, but in this case, they are seeking to derail a lawful legislative process.

  7. RUSH: "The Occupation of the Wisconsin Capitol Continues for a Third Day." Those are not my words. That's the headline of a story in the Communist Party USA's People's World website, and according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the AFL-CIO national president Richard Trumka is expected to join thousands of demonstrators at noon in Wisconsin today. That's sorta like the head of the Muslim Brotherhood showing up at Tahrir Square in Cairo. A check of headlines around the world is very upsetting. It is not comforting. None of this was supposed to happen. It was all supposed to be Sweetness and Light out there. Love and cherish, utopia, was supposed to have settled in by now. But it hasn't happened....You know, ladies and gentlemen, for decades -- I'm into my third decade hosting this program now -- we've been saying that all of this would eventually happen if there was no stopping this runaway train of liberalism; this constant, never-ending claim on more and more of public money, more and more public budgets. If there wasn't a stop put to it, we would eventually get to days of reckoning like this.

  8. Stand with Scott Walker, Sign the Petition

    http://americansforprosperity.org/walker/

Thanks for you posts Chris. Please sign the petition to stand with Gov. Walker. Thousands of pro-Walker protesters are here at the capital. We could use more great Americans. It seem the liberals that complained about the Tea Party protest sign are make excuses for their ilk. Hypocracy at it's best.

  9. Joe never thought you were the typical liberal but I was wrong, must be getting old. Reading your 15:31 post is right out of Lefts play book. I care not to debate that post because most is just LEFT Rhetoric. I can usually judge people pretty well but your no better than Bruce just a bit more educated. In the end you are both the SAME!

  10. All of this "blame one, blame the other" is ridiculous and a waste of time.

This is a fight so lets get down to the basis of disagreement - the economy, not about what sign was brought to any gathering.

In November 2010 the American people voted in adults across all 50 States to stop the bleeding and restore sanity to Federal spending and more importantly State spending.

Any other argument surrounding the stated obvious is a complete waste of time.

    ReplyDelete
  11. No, Chris, CCP, the voters voted in Republicans, which are far from adults. They have no idea how to govern effective, and Gov. Walker is example number one.

And it's no wonder. He barely finished high school and his lack of education is showing with his immature behavior by trying to dismantle the unions and their collective bargaining rights.

The tea baggers were in the capitol for three hours. The teachers, firefighters, policemen and other public servants are in this for the duration and they will win in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  12. CP, its not about being "Adult" its about attacks on our rights and people protesting those attacks. Like unions or not the workers have a right to organize.

there's nothing adult in limiting our rights while claiming to be the ones standing up for them.

Lets get back to dealing with the budget issue and leave collective bargaining rights alone.

  15. Finding one video of protesters acting good means nothing. How does it feel to have the tables turned? I have more then a few videos of liberals talking, writing and acting violent over the years. ou have next to nothing on us. Joe most of the videos you gave have been prooven false. It's funny how when your side does it it's no big deal and exceptable. But when our side did tasteless signs it was the end of the world and we should be put into jail for it. You two are so hypocritical just like the rest of the liberals. Didn't Obama tell you people to stop the violent and dangerous rhetoric? Didn't Pelosi almosdt fack cry about the dangerous rhetoric? For over 2 years now you libs have been saying how dangerous we Tea Partiers are, where's the proof? I have many post of all the violence being done by the left-wing since Obama took office. It's way more then you could dig up on conservatives. Joe one of your videos was edited to not show the Tea Partiers kicking out that racist. I did a post on that and I'm sure you remember it. There is another one of your videos that was proven to be an Democratic plant. Oops.

  16. Chris, the people you call liberals are just people you consider liberals. What you do is find rioters at specific events and then say they're liberals acting badly.

You have no first-hand knowledge how they describe themselves and whether they're liberals.

  17. Joe Workers should have a RIGHT to organize. Public Sector Unions who receive THEIR wages from Tax Payers to me like it or not MUST be regulated more. Collective bargining in Public Sector Unions is going to be difficult. We are broke and politicans in Washington had better get there shit together. Public Unions also had better understand its king of hard to bargin when Piggy bank empty. Private Sector its called bankruptsy. Public Sector its called Bankruptsy. Part of getting OUR economy back will be CUTTING across the board and like it or not "Public Unions" are on the Board.

Private Sector Unions and Companies controlled by Free Market and Profits.

Public Sector Unions must be regulated. Tax Payers Pay for their services and like any other service if MONEY aint their you CUT back on Employees or Service.

Public Unions have only been around since JFK. I beleive Politicans have made Public Unions into a Entity that the more its FED the More it Wants. Well in theory Unions may feel that way BUT in Practice Goverment is Broke.

Public Union teachers have done what since becoming Unionized to in fact Educate OUR children and prepare them for Adulthood. Where does OUR country educational system rank NOW compared to say 1970. Public Teachers Unions and Trillions of Dollars have not HELPED the GPA of OUR Children.

WE cannot Afford Public Unions and that is a FACT. At some point there will be a chance that Public Union Employees could be FIRED and Replaced. I beleive when that occurrs we will have indeed become Greece or any other Nation that is Bankrupt.

Just my Opinion but the thought of becoming Greece actually scares me. Our Nation is being attacked from inside and once all the dividing is in place the conquering will begin!

  18. In all seriousness. If the Tea Partiers had become even the littlest bit violent it would have destroyed the imagage of the Tea Party. The left-wing,Democratic Party and the MSM tried to say we were violent, racist and dangerous. The fact that they were wrong puts some egg on their faces. The fact that there has been plan crashes and other violent acts by lefties makes them look even worse to Americans. Now at this point there doesn't seem to be any violence yet. If you look at the Tea Party protesters and the mob in Wisconsin both left and right wing mob I'd say they are both peaceful but not the same. The mob in Wisconsin has broken the law, broken the contracts of some unions and stopped democracy from happening. That is anti-American at best. I didn't see that happening with Tea Party rallies. In fact there hasn't been one Tea Partier arrested yet.

We the People voted and now you have to live by the law of the land. What is being done in Wisconsin is criminal for some. Would any of you liberals like to take a bet on IF(big if)the left-wing turn to violence? I'd love to take that kind of action. It's almost sure money. Take a close look at all the Obama shirts you see on criminals when they got picked up. Then look for a Tea Party or Republican t-shirt in the mug shots from around the country. That is reality. If the left-wing become violent it will be the last straw for most Americans. We spoke and our change is we wont keep paying for these public unions. The public unions want all of us to pay more in taxes so they get to keep being paid way above the pay grade. We all have taken our cuts without a wisper. Now it's the public employees turn. Stop trying to stop democracy and sit down and shut up for a change. You liberals tried to put us in the back of the bus and told us to except the change. We never broke laws and we followed democracy. You didn't and that is typical of the left. Grow up and take it like adults or risk being fired by We The People.

  21. Chris, you didn't vote in Wisconsin. So whatever we the people your including yourself in doesn't include Wisconsin.

OMG, an edited video. Well ain't that the kettle calling the pot black. You have posted more edited video's then i will ever post so get off your high horse.

In fact we now know that the Acorn stings weren't anything like what the video's were.

The Shirley Sherrod video was purposefully edited to defame someone. Andy going to have to pay up for that one big time. Millions of dollars releasing that edited video will cost him.

And then there's the ties to convicted criminal James O'keefe who is on probation for his phone tampering scam.

  22. ACORN videos weren't anything like what the videos were? What were they? Video did not show ACORN employees assisting in inappropiate information involving Tax Payers money? Hows their funding doing?

Lets not forget Sandy Burger STEALING papers that were to be used in Court action or maybe they just fell into his socks and HOW'd that work out?

Lets not forget the "magic" Lugy with the Congressmen this summer. Only problem NO evidence and that was after a quite Substancial Reward was offered. You would have thought with all those witnesses and Videos it would have been caught on tape. Conspiracy therories or facts?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hmmm, al do i think that tea party extremists would give up video that showed the truth due to money? No. i think the True Believers would at least be loyal to their cause and keep it hidden.

One thing i can't fault Tea Baggers and conservatives is loyalty. They are loyal to a fault.

  24. Joe your video of saposed Tea Party racism was edited to not show the real Tea Partiers telling him to leave... And one of your videos is a left-wing Democratic Party flunky like Bruce. Joe if you can find any lost footage or unedited video that puts this all into a different perspective I'll happily post it. But we both know this is just you pulling a strawman out.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What are the chances in that large crowd that there were NOT some libs and what do you think the odds are one of em had a camera? Simple answer joe surprized you did not think of it. Incident NEVER occurred. "Magic Lugy" gotta love it!
