The Stimulus Bill Wasn't About Jobs

The Stimulus Bill was sold to us as a jobs bill. But with only 1/3 of the money spent how could it be about jobs? The Stimulus bill is just a slush fund for the Democratic Party. They are using this bill as a their own little piggy bank. As if we need any more proof that this bill was not designed to  do what they said it would. Then why do they feel we need another jobs bill when the first bill isn't even half way spent yet? Is that the 'change' the American people voted for? Can you seriously say that the bill has done what it was supposed to do? Or what it was sold to us as? Joe 'the buffoon' Biden is coming to the Detroit area today to talk about the jobs this admin. has saved or created. The last time they told us about the jobs they have 'saved or created' almost half of the jobs were not real. But the left will buy the Democrats 'saved or created' theory of jobs creation and economic growth hook, line and sinker. Just like they bought 'global warming' and 'alien seeding earth' theories. I'm starting to believe Darwins theory of evelution. They more I listen to these progressives. The more I think they are the relatives of monkies.

Talk About Lieing What Are "Created Jobs"?

These guys in office now can't even get their "created" jobs numbers right. So how could we trust them with our health care? They didn't call unemployment numbers right. They were totally clueless on how long $1 billion would last for Cash for Clunkers program. And they tell us to trust them on the cost and the effects of this health care bill. We are in the worse reccession in a lifetime and the Democrats want to spend $1,000,000,000,000.00 on health care reform that still leave 30 million people without health insurance. Where are these so called jobs and why do the Democrats care more about spending money then creating jobs? We are in need of a PEACEFUL revelution in this country. We need to stand up for logic and common sense. And we need to throw out all of these spend happy politicians. The Democrats took our money and gave it to big business and big labor unions and stuck us with the bill. It is time that Washington reaps what they sow. They need to stop lieing about jobs creation and the effects of the stimulus bill. And we need to stop believing the liars in Washington. Tell everyone you see what Obama and Washington are doing to this great nation of ours.

More than ten percent of the jobs the Obama administration has claimed were “created or saved” by the $787 billion stimulus package are doubtful or imaginary, according to reports compiled from eleven major newspapers and the Associated Press.
Based only on our analysis of stimulus media coverage in the last two weeks, The Examiner has created this interactive map to document exaggerated stimulus claims. The map, which will be updated as new revelations appear, currently reflects an exaggeration by the Obama administration of about 75,000 jobs, out of the 640,000 jobs supposedly “created or saved.”

Conservatives Said The Stimulus Bill Wouldn't Create Jobs And They Were Right

A former official with the White House Office of Management and Budget says the net number of jobs created by President Obama's "stimulus" program is zero or worse.

 The White House is boasting that 650,000 jobs have already been saved or created under President Obama's economic stimulus plan, and that the program is on track to reach the president's promise of 3.5 million jobs by the end of next year. White House economic adviser Jared Bernstein says when adding in jobs linked to $288 billion in tax cuts, the stimulus plan has created or saved more than one-million jobs.

However, J.D. Foster, an economist at The Heritage Foundation, says the White House is making brazen claims about job creation during a time of rising unemployment.  He believes their figures are "fraudulent and misleading."

"In saying that, I'm not criticizing the calculation of the number that they've put out, but rather the interpretation.  What they have referred to in effect is a 'gross jobs created' number, and they ignore the jobs that their program has destroyed," says Foster. "And so you end up with a positive.  But when you look at the jobs that are destroyed by this program, they're to a first-approximation equivalent to the jobs they say they've saved or created, and you end up with at best a net zero -- and in all likelihood a significant reduction in employment because of this program."

The economist notes that in putting its best face forward, the Obama administration is predicting that the unemployment rate will go through ten percent and stay there until at least the fall, but the reality is probably much worse because the programs President Obama is pursuing to help the economy are "utterly ineffective" and are only adding to the national debt.
