While the left-wing and some Democrats are saying, "we aren't broke" the facts say otherwise. Here are some facts the left-wingers wont acknowledge.

We will have to pay for this debt and making our children do it isn't right or moral. But that is what the Democratic Party wants to do. I remember how the left-wing and Democratic Party blasted Bush when our debt was under $200 billion. It was that debt that made most Americans vote for the other Party. When Obama was saying "Hope and Change" most Americans thought that he was talking about lowering the debt not making it go through the roof to pay off the Democratic Party constituents.

Since the Democratic Parties idea of "Change" was much higher debt and more spending the American voter fired Democrats like never before. I don't care how much the Democratic Party and their thugs protest and threaten us. We must make cuts now or it will get much worse. It wont be easy and the left-wing and unions aren't going to make it easy. But this ship is sinking and the Democratic Party and unions are putting more holes in the ship. It may be time to throw them overboard before they sink the ship.

National Debt Increased 60% Under Democrat Speaker Pelosi

In the just 4 years that Pelosi was Speaker the national debt increased an unbelievable 60%.
When the Pelosi Democrats took control of Congress on January 4, 2007, the national debt stood at $8,670,596,242,973.04 — that’s $8.67 trillion. Today, the last day of the 111th Congress and Pelosi’s Speakership, the national debt is $13,871,130,353,817.40 — that’s $13.87 trillion. A $5.2 trillion in just four years. The Pelosi debt works out to $44,662 for every man, woman and child who make up the 310,574,015 U.S. populace. But we all know that this generation of Democrats don't want to pay their bills let alone their debts. They will just pass their debt,plus some more if they can, onto the born children. Now if we include the debts of the state and local government it's much more then this. See the Democratic Party as well as some Republicans want to add to our deficit. Yep, I said add not pay down or deficit. To the Democrats our deficit isn't a problem. It was a problem when we had a Republican president but now that it is 60% higher in just 4 short years the Democrats want more money. We have a reckoning coming and the Democrats aren't going to like it. But at this point I don't care what the Democrats want. They took enough in t6his generational theft already. It's time to pay up. And that means you Boomers as well. We are not your slaves and the next generation aren't our slaves either. This will be the first time in our history that one generation took from all the other generations like pirates, instead of leaving the next generation in a better place then they had. Shame on us all.

Open Thread: What Should We Do About Our Debts?

We have accumulated massive national debt since G.W.Bush. We know we can't keep adding to the debt and we need to shrink our debt soon. We know what adding to our debt does for the next generation but also what it does for an economic recovery. We also know what not raising our debt ceiling would do to our recovery. Now we have been adding to our debt since the Democrats took Congress. Lets see what the Republicans do with our out of control spending. If the Republicans put forth a bill you disagree with then tell us why. If the Democrats put forth a bill do the same. But please explain what and why if you can. We are in a bad place and whatever the solution there will be pain and broken eggs. The key is coming up with a solution that will do the least pain. It's finding the lesser of two evils. I just can't see putting more debt on our children, in order to not pay the piper on entitlements and over paid public servants. We need to make major cuts in government budgets. It seems that this year is the year when many if not most cities,states and whatnot's are going to go broke. When we look at our real debts it's hard to believe that there is anything we can do,next to anarchy or libertarian style republic that we can do to pay down our debts. As long as we have this massive debt we can't recover. We need to make the hard decisions and cuts now before our debt consumes our economy as well as the next couple of  generations worth of labor. We must not enslave the next generations because we wont deal with our governments over spending habit. Just try and call your bank and ask them if you can take out a loan in your name against your kids future earnings. In other words, make your kids pay for the crap you bought and used. What do you think we should do? And we all know there are no easy, painless answers.

The CBO Says Democrats Are Spending Us Into The Ground

The federal debt will represent 62 percent of the nation's economy by the end of this year, the highest percentage since just after World War II, according to a long-term budget outlook the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released today.
Lawmakers will need to pare spending on Social Security and healthcare in order to avoid tax hikes or big cuts in other federal programs, according to the analysis.
"The driver of this debt is spending," New Hampshire Sen. Judd Gregg, the top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee, told USA Today. "Our existing debt will be worsened by the president's new health care entitlement programs . . . as well as an explosion in existing health care and retirement entitlement spending as the baby boomers retire."
Spending on Social Security and Medicare and other healthcare programs will rise from 10 percent of the economy now toabout 16 percent in 25 years. By comparison, spending on all government programs, excluding interest payments, has averaged only about 18.5 percent of gross domestic product over the past 40 years, it said.
Federal spending and the $13 trillion debt are major issues in the run-up to the November congressional elections in which Republicans hope to take control of Congress away from Democrats.
The CBO urged quick action on tackling the long-term budget outlook.
"The sooner that long-term changes to spending and revenues are agreed on, and the sooner they are carried out once the economic weakness ends, the smaller will be the damage to the economy from growing federal debt," the CBO concluded.
The first wave of about 78 million U.S. baby boomers has become eligible to receive early Social Security retirement benefits, and the numbers of those receiving Social Security and Medicare health benefits will steadily rise in coming years.
When Bush was in office I had a lot of my "Democrat" friends crying about Bush's spending deficit when it was at $400 billion just before TARP. I agreed with them that the spending was out of control. They blamed Bush for the last 2 years of his admin when all the big deficits happened and I blamed the Democrats in Congress as well as Bush for not vetoing it. But now those same people say nothing about that same Congress of Democrats or the Democratic President Obama's deficit spending. Now when the Democrats talk about spending hundreds of billions of dollars they don't blink an eye.  Could it be that all those Democrats that bitched about the debt in the Bush years just needed to bitch to railroad Bush? And now that the debt is higher then ever and spending under total Democrat control is out of control they don't care any more? Could the Democratic Party be that bold to change their views on a dime? Who bitches about spending under one party and then when they get total power they change? Thanks to Obama and the Democratic Party in control of Congress for spending more money and growing our debt more then all our presidents combined. That should make everyone wake up and take note. But instead the left are trying to put us asleep with their justifications of why they have to spend like our childrens future.

Obama and the Democrats Fiddle While America Burns

 Yeh I know Bush did it. He did the debt and Obama just made it bigger. Whatever! While the left are playing political games about the Tea Party,Sarah Palin and all the other BS China is making a threat to destable our economy if we don't get out of Taiwan our friend. Thanks to Bush,Obama and the Democrats in Congress we are being held hostage by the debt holders. If China sells our debt we will be in the greatest depression. But Gibbs is playing funny with his Sarah Palin jokes. Obama keeps playing the Washington politial games of blame. And the media is trying to find ways to get Sarah Palin and the Tea Parties. These idiots in Washington better start taking this stuff serious. The reccession isn't ending and they want to add almost $2 trillion more in debt. All this and the left keep proping up their Party. While the Progressives are defining us in the Tea Party as racist,dumb,hatemongers. We are the only ones that can define who we are. We are Democrats,Republicans,Libertarians and Independents. One thing we all in the TEA Party agree with is that we need to be fiscally responsable,smaller government and we believe in the Constitution. The only people that don't agree with those three things are Progressives. We need to find fiscally conservative people to run and win. We need to get rid of everyone in Washington that is calling for a raise in the national debt to China. Get involed or we will have China breathing heavier down our backs and calling the shots in American policy. And thanks to Bush,Obama and Congress they gave away America. It's time to stop fiddling and start doing something that has worked instead of doing things that have never worked other then in  a Progressives warped  minds.
