Go To Congressman John Fleming(Louisiana physician) Website And Sign Our Petition

Please read and act, only takes a minute!

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new  government-run health plan. It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to drink at the same trough! Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana !  Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).

Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). I have immediately done just that at:

www.fleming.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=55&sectiontree=29,55

Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!  If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congressmen should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families. To do otherwise is the height of hypocrisy!  Please pass this on!!

  2. Remember 2000? Bush spent a good bit more in resources in California than any sane person thought prudent. He lost California.

Republicans have, for a long time, been losing California. Ahnuld (writing it this way so I don’t have to look up the proper spelling of his last name) has largely been a fluke. He came to power in 2003 during the Gray Davis debacle and won re-election largely by becoming a Democrat.

Nonetheless, Republicans keep spending money to win statewide in California. Look at the NRSC’s commitment to Carly Fiorina.

Compare California to Massachusetts. That state is probably as tough as California, but it has elected a string of Republican governors from Bill Weld to Mitt Romney — it has had Republican governors who have behaved more Republican than Ahnuld and have won within the last decade.

But while the GOP has been standing behind Carly Fiorina in California in pursuit of the mythical GOP win there, the same cannot be said of the GOP helping Scott Brown in Massachusetts.

I think we should take a serious look at Scott Brown.

The odds are he won’t win. Let’s be realistic about it. But let’s also remember Joseph Cao could not win William Jefferson’s district in Louisiana — until he did. And unlike Cao, were Scott Brown elected to the United States Senate, he’d be the 41st vote against Obamacare.

The election in Massachusetts is a special election. Odd things can happen in special elections. Massachusetts has a high number of independent voters. There are a number of liberal voters so upset with Obama for ditching the public option they’re willing to support Scott Brown as a public rebuke to the President. Lastly, the state has a base of Republicans who still remember how to win statewide elections.

The odds are against Scott Brown, but only slightly. This race is winnable. Before you dismiss it or dismiss Scott Brown because he is a New England Republican, just remember — we still need 51 votes to control the Senate. Scott Brown gives us one. He may be like Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins and hack us off frequently on domestic policy issues, but he’s right on health care and he seems more right than not on foreign affairs.

And Scott Brown’s victory would give Barack Obama a huge black eye.

    Just sayin’.

  8. I thought that was B. Husseins idea,,everyone without a job living off the government anyhow?

  9. ok, got it. You live off your wifes income. Be a real man, get a job and support your family rather than a babysitter that sits home all day on the computer.

  10. I'm doing it the Obama way. Heeheehee. Thanks liberals for all the extentions. Yes Anon I am one of the 50% of Americans that pay Federal taxes. Are you? Were you conservative enough with your money to take time off of work for any reason even health reasons? Do I work? Obama is paying people to go to school and stay home and do nothing but railroad him all day long. Sucks to be a liberal. Now get to work and pay my bills. PS you should see my house. You shouldn't have and my new Ford Focus is great thanks to you and the Democrats. I've got to go down to Detroit to the ACORN office to see how I can scam some more money out of the gov't. If you need me call me on my new cell phone you got me 586-555-8372. BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Maybe I should put in for SSI and start a business so I can afford an F150 and a place up north on the Obama plan. Who said my wife worked anyways.hahahahahaha

  11. Good one. Why work when the democrats pay you not to work? It's a good gig and I'm doing it. It's better then a union job and that is why they are mad. Did you buy your new car with the Cash 4 Clunkers money?

  12. When I used to work at Ford, during some real hay-days, there was a union-worker there who was raving about the gubmint cheese. She said she liked that cheese better than any other, and she would do anything to get that gubmint food.

Here is this woman in a high-paying, low-requirements (as far as education/being on time, etc) job, and she is bilking the system out of food and whatever else. These are the people who claim the gubmint doesn't provide enough, because they are busy spending their money on bling and drugs and $200/month cell phones and Cadillac Escalades, and votin' Democrat. Just makes you sick.

Used to be $20 in today's money per person to run the government. Now it is over $10,000. Time to do something about this.

  13. That money and programes aren't for Republicans. It's only for Democrats. You Republicans are the ones that pay the taxes. The Democrats take them and give them to their constituents. Chris you are not doing it the way the Democrats engineered it. So stop right now and go to work so the lazy Democrats can sit home and do nothing. It's their money and you are stealing it from them. At least that's the way they look at it.

  14. Real Men work regardless if they are Democrats or Republicans. To send the wife to work so that you can sit home is just wrong. Stop making excuses.

  15. Anon are you trying to say that a stay at home mother/father doesn't work? It sure sounds like you are. The funny thing is you assume I don't work. I also assume you don't work and most likely live with your mother. By the way my strawman liberal friend,ACORN was of great help on showing me how I can get SSI for my bad back and grow medical marijuana for profit. ACORN is a real cash cow for useless people like myself. Like I said who said my wife works? Oh, and Anonymous real men have balls and use their real name. So don't place your impotence on me.

  16. struck a nerve? The old bad back excuse huh? How do your in-laws feel about this?

  17. Sounds like a good gig to me Chris. Just like in Atlas Shrugged, time for the people who actually produce to take a break and let the government do it all. They want communism let's see how they do when everybody who contributes takes a vacation. I don't know about you but I'm sick and tired of propping up people like Detroiters who take take take and then vote in criminals like Obummer to get even more that they never worked for and never WILL work for. At least you contributed Chris.

Anonymous isn't even creative enough to come up with a fake name. What a pussy. BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA

  18. Just put your feet up my working conservatives and do it the liberal way for a change. Lets see how things work then. Anon you are funny. What nerve do you think you struck? Am I really acting like I care what is in your head? You keep trying to crack me and I'll keep on laughing at you. By the way I was joking about all of that for you that didn't get it like Anon. What nerve of yours have I struck? Could it be the fact that you are the one that has done very litle for society and thus you project that on me? And we all know why me having the time to railroad you on the left is bothing you. Have fun trying to figure out how I have time and money to do what I want. I'm sure your just pissed that you pick a bad President and Congress and now you have to beat the dog. Thanks to Obama we can all take 2 years,I think, to not work and get paid. It's like a union job with less pay but the same jobs bank. Have fun quizing yourself with your jealousy. PS I send my kids to a parocial school if that helps.
